  1. Having that yellow card with that nice little stamp certainly feels wonderful!! YAY!!! YAY!!! YAY!!! Many great "thanks" to all my instructors and friends for helping me believe in myself!! I'm so happy!! WEEEEEE YAAAAAY!!! BEEEEER!! {{hiccup}}
  2. Congrats!!! Way to go!! That's a huge accomplishment and can't wait to make the same posting after this Saturday!! Fly safe with your buddies!
  3. And by the way....I'm gonna use the "burble from the landing gear" as my next excuse... that is hysterical. I've got 'em down. We're gonna try a diff'rnt approach tommorow.....now that there are blue skies AND I'm IN TOWN. Conway, thanks for the advice on the floater. I'm gonna try it after my checkout/graduation dive. Gawd, that loooks and feels like a very stable exit. i absolutely HATE exits, on the other hand, I just can't wait to get out. I need therapy.
  4. Wont be there this weekend. Took a week of vacation to dedicate to skydive and and freakin RAINED ALL WEEK!! Leaving town today for a camping trip. I DONT WANNA GO!! Anyway, my instruction is great, the airplane is wonderful. My problem is JUMPING from the plane instead of stepping out into the RW. I just want out so bad and I rush things...that is really my stupid problem with exits. Can't wait to get back in town to the DZ. I know that you'll be flying in those blue skies that I'll be sweating under Have a wonderful weekend!!
  5. Okay, Conway, you must already know that I'm horrified of the Cessna I'm one of those "Spaceland Otter Babies." Spoiled I guess.
  6. Thanks Conway!! You guys have been wonderful to me!! I know that I'll do well on the next jump, because I don't have to freakin' dive!!!!!!! I'm relaxed in freefall, its the exit that i'm nutted up on. It'll be my check out dive, so....yay!! more funny films for the instructors to watch!! Can't wait to get back up!!
  7. WEEEEEEE!!! Great shot!! That'll keep me smilin'!! I just gotta nail a solid arse exit for my dreaded hop-n-pop. I keep putting it off and putting it off. Might as well just go for it so I can move on.
  8. I'm right there with ya. I've nailed a couple, then I lost the last one on a diving exit. "Recovery" is becoming my specialty. We'll get it!! Big Smiles!!
  9. You grew something on your face today!! You dont look so "sweet and innocent." Anyway...Yup I need to remember to arch when I leave and to quit "JUMPING FROM THE PLANE." Hopefully, the weather will prevail tomorrow and I can pretend that I don't need ridillin . Big Flappy Smiles!!
  10. I did a divng exit today that looked really, really, good............if I were only a stuntman. I just couldn't help my real instincts to dive into a pool and keep those legs extended!! Flip, flip, flip!! WEEEEEEEEE HEEEEEE!!! Couldn't stop laughing for the rest of my jump. Big flappy smiles!!!
  11. Gawd my solo exits are atrocious!! I hate to PW this, but man, I just keep blowing them! Have many of you suffered through the exit syndrome?? Big smiles!!
  12. Yay for you!!! Have fun and stay safe!! BIG SMILES TO YA!!

  16. I was going to mention a Brand New Ironing board and Iron Set with a nice cover for the new board. Perhaps a new set of aprons. The ones made by wonder bra are great looking. "note to self.....see above.... ...........stay single"
  17. I pray I don’t get bashed for this. I do see where one would consider themselves making a responsible decision for their child/children when boarding a plane to go skydive. However; what is the real likelihood of a jump plane going down with you both on it, or even an accident to both of you during your skydive? Are there any statistics showing spouses orphaning their children in the sport? I for one am a single mother of an 18 yr old who is leaving for college. It would devastate her if I died…but, this sport is not about death. I was run off the road by a drunk (head-on) while driving to the DZ. This could happen anywhere. The way I see it is that God has a plan and I trust him with it. I have to travel quite often as well, should I not board a commercial flight in the wake of terrorism – or even mechanical failure? Don’t get me wrong…I respect your decisions not to fly together, but I wanted you to see things through the eyes of a single mom.
  18. Just met her this weekend....what a super lady. Send her these... >>>>>>{{{{{{{SUPER VIBES}}}}}}
  19. GAAAAAG!!! How can you even think of that? Can you even empathize that some people may really be looking for a cure here???? Ignore the Turtle.
  20. Dude!!! That was sooooo wrong!!! I just puked on my keyboard!!
  21. Sorry for the "novel", but I feel your pain. Like you, I’ve had a very active lifestyle, built around sports and have always, always been an adrenaline junkie. HOWEVER; since I took up this sport there has been a dividing line in support/non-support. I’ve conceded to the fact that my mother hates that I do it, and she’ll never, ever accept it (some of my friends hate it as well). In fact, she tried to weigh it with, “how would you feel if your daughter…”…well mom, guess what??? I chunked her out of an airplane too!! I couldn’t handle having a “Wuffo” living under the same roof. Needless to say, mom wasn’t happy. Seriously, I’ve tried to explain that this sport is “as safe as you make it.” I raced dirt bikes all my life and had many injuries/broken bones. I’ve even had some pretty bad injuries/close calls waterskiing, yet she still considers those type sports less risky. It’s an uphill battle. Most people won’t get it and all your efforts to explain the “risks,” regardless of justification, will be in vain. Just have fun and stay alive!!
