  1. Both of these ladies enjoy making money the easy way, through stock manipulation deals; however, one was an insider. I also recall Pres. Clinton lied to investigators resulting in huge costs to the taxpayers.
  2. She didn't set out to defraud anyone. She was simply protecting herself from the CEO of Imclone, who knew his company's stock was going to go into a freefall following the FDA's decision. The government should have simply handed her a fine, but bringing her to trial was a witch-hunt for a practice that is commonplace on Wall Street. The trial caused her company's share holders to lose their shirts as well. I recall Sen. Hillary Clinton doing very very well on a stock purchase and a well timed sale.
  3. Don't tell that to her victims -- I hope she gets what the guidelines recommend, regardless of her clelebrity status. And who were her victims? As I saw it, the Imclone founder was dumping his shares before letting his share holders in on the FDA news. Is that a trick question? No, it wasn't; who were her victims?

  5. Same thing happens when you start a family.
  6. In the early eighties, Apple Computer had these special white seat cushions emblazed with their logo on them, and they placed one on each and every seat at the Super Bowl game at Stanford stadium. After the game, a person was murdered in the parking lot over one of these cushions, and the killer received a lengthy sentence. About a year later, I saw one of these cushions for sale at the Capitol Drive-In flea market in San Jose, CA on Capitol Expressway. It was badly faded from sun light, and it had a price tag on it: $1.00 Your friend did you a cheap favor by showing his true colors at a discounted rate!
  7. The latest AOPA magazine has an article regarding an avionics company whose insurance carrier was asked to help pay damages despite the fact that their product did NOT malfunction or cause an airplane to crash, but they had deep pockets, and the court felt that the victims needed somebody's money to ameliorate the pain. This is tomorrow's tort, today!
  8. A dry lease for a newer PC-6 is roughly $10,500.00 per month plus $165.00 per hour. And don't forget fuel, pilot, taxes...well, you get the idea. The DZO(s) have these airplanes so that the teams who will compete in Europe can train with the same aircraft being used for competition.
  9. "The people always have some champion whom they set over them and nurse into greatness...This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector." Plato (c 427-347 B.C.), Greek philosopher.
  10. A constitutional amendment wouldn't bother her anyway since she advocates only those that suit her personal beliefs. In reality she's little more than an obese biased bigot with money.
  11. Actually, somebody used to do this very modification to the Stiletto canopy. I've never seen one myself, but they're out there. Why don't you just buy a used Crossfire and put it through some of your own trials; they come standard with a differential line trim. A word of caution is in order: experimenting with line trim is best left to the professional riggers and test pilots. A problem with your canopy might not become apparent until you have something stationary to relate with, namely the ground.
  12. Well, that's good...and bad news. The folks who rely on third party insurance still have a chance. However, the policy will eventually be food for the feast!
  13. Yes, it was a 230, and it was in really nice condition too. It had a huge slider as I recall, and it had these color coded line attachments. The canopies at PISA were competitively priced too. Do you like your Hornet?
  14. I'm not very romantic, just an over-worked Civil Engineer. She can't complain though; she doesn't have to work, has a new house, new car, trips to Europe...to visit her family, $500 monthly for incidentals, etc., but only one glitch. We live in the Pacific Northwest rather than California; just could keep up with the expenses there.
  15. We have kids that wake up early, and she likes to sleep after sex. The late evenings are the only quiet time for me.
  16. Definitely shaved and well groomed. Just finished kissing one 20-minutes ago, and now I'm working on a 22-oz Red Hook ESB. Now, if the weather would just clear up...
  17. Here's one I sold a while ago: http://member.newsguy.com/~rmsmith/hornet/hornet.htm
  18. I don't know your cousin, but I have to agree with him!
  19. A woman with one divorce under her belt is much easier to live with; she may not know what she wants yet, but she sure knows what she doesn't want. Usually the "Pretty Woman" fantasy has been put to rest by then too.
  20. If you are swooping the pond then you might want the water resistant cypres2.
  21. The problem with a large bank account is that it would become a lawyer's target. The skydiving community needs liability relief similar to that enjoyed by the ski industry.
  22. I just renewed my membership last week; anyone involved in aviation activities should participate.
  23. Yes, a family business to me is a video store, restaurant, professional consultant, father & son window cleaners, etc., a vast difference from a family owned corporation with workers that you have in mind. The definition of a small business varies greatly depending on the industry.
  24. So a college professor was telling you all about how great it is to be independent in a family business, right? I have a friend who is a software consultant. He has a wife and two kids. His health care policy costs $1,065.00 per month, and that only helps him if expenses run over $5,000.00 out of pocket. So when he has a runny nose, he has to pay out of pocket in addition to the monthly plan. He and his family eat properly and watch their weight and don't smoke. Unfortunately, he pays for a socialist medical system that pays for losers and your college professor, yet he doesn't qualify! BTW, he lives in the United States.
