I think you have it messed up. A real Pagan Holiday is celebrated in a number of States. Originally just in New Orleans. Mardi-Gras is nothing more than a celebration of the dead, and the spirits who (Some think) are still active in the after life. Personally I think it's all bunk, but that's just my opinion. I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart really goes out to you. I know your pain personally, and it's not good. I had to put my "Bear Dog" down some years ago, I'm still not over it. We had him 19 almost 20 years. Maybe Herc & Bear can chase rabbits now in the animal heaven I know exists for special pets. You did everything I did to try and help Herc that I did to help Bear. In the end it was my fault because I tried to keep him too long, but I loved him so much, I set him free. My wishes for your speedy recovery from the grief I know you feel. It gets better with time. We installed an ADT system in our new home simply because it has too many points of ingress / egress. We also installed heat sensors and carbon minoxide sensors along with motion sensors that are monitored by ADT in Austin, Texas not the SO or PD. If an alarm goe off, they confirm it with us before calling in the forces because that's the way I wanted it. I got sick and tired of paying $50.00 for setting the damn thing off myself because I was not being mindful of it's status. The freaking doors are fitted with door handles that lock your ass out of your own house unless you unlock it before you go outside. That makes a fella feel ignorant. The first time I done it, my keys to everything were inside the house, all my vehichles were locked so I couldn't use my onstar to call my wife at work and it was raining. I looked like a fool when I showed up at my wife's work after walking 2.5 miles in a driving rainstorm soaking wet, cold and embarrassed.
