The worst part about Monicagate was the bad press cigars got. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Stayed in Corpus Christi twice. Both motels had tarball cleaning stations set up outside their entrances. One was the Embassy Suites. Not sure on the other. Also flew over the South Padre Island. It may be nice to some, but IMHO does not compare with any beach between Gulf Shores and Appalachicola, FL. It was very similar to beaches from the GA border to St Augustine. I am not impressed by any beach you can drive on. Sorry. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Drink beer, play hockey? I did that in college, too. What do you call an engineer who looks at your shoes when he talks to you and not his own? An extrovert. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

and the radio reception between El Paso and Dallas... and the fact that every beach in the state has brown water and tarballs. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Nice pic and looks good, but does he always stow his slider like that? Not critical, just curious. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. Did anyone see the episode where Mikey is smoking a blunt on camera? Kids, the effects of getting the munchies, right before your eyes. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Any idea what made the cutaway so hard, then? Is that a brand name? Sounds foreign. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

I remember when I went to see "Deliverance" with my 'rents. Who knew? Years of therapy after that one. Mom was never the same. Sounds like a new poll for some industrious person not jumping today, "Best Inspirational Sports Flicks". I would add "Vision Quest", "American Flyers", and "Breaking Away". Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Dumbass Question of the Day: Technological Help to Prevent Low Hook Turns?
flyhi replied to flyhi's topic in Gear and Rigging
A large portion of the discussion on this site revolves around the prevention of low hook turns and the resultant injuries. So far, from what I've read, everyone seems to look at the man portion of the man-machine interface. I was wondering if anyone has looked at the other end of the equation: the machine. Does anyone know of anyone looking at any technological steps being taken to assist with "aggressive turns to final"? I would throw out an adjustable low altitude audible that signals safe or unsafe altitude to begin a turn, a fiber optic indicator which turns from green to red when it is too low to initiate,... I have to believe with all the great minds out there, someone should be able to address the problem and was just wondering if anyone will or has considered it. It may sound illogical, undoable, too expensive, but look at the AAD, RSL, skyhook, audible altimeter,... when some of us started, none of those existed. Then again, it may just be the cafe mocha talking. Any thoughts? Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. -
Vengeance vs. Velocity - Need info from the field!

Never thought of that. Excellent point. I stand corrected. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. -
Vengeance vs. Velocity - Need info from the field!
flyhi replied to mfrese's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Vengeance 135 loaded at 1.6 - I start a 180 turn from about 350 feet and a 270 from about 500 feet. From what I have been told, that is a lot lower than you would consider doing it on a Velocity. I would think the angle may be the same but the recovery arc for the Vengeance is shorter. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. -

Thailand? Sounds like Heaven to me. Do you not anticipate a slow down once the wackers start docking? Thanks for the updates. They are greatly appreciated. Good luck to all. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Nice. I use my dial-up at work, put it on the memory stick my work bought me, and take it home and load it on my computer. It's just so wrong. Who's doing the 4-way? Pretty impressive. Would love to show it to some of the people I jump with to show them what "staying on level" means. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.
