BTW, going on 50K miles on this set of brakes in my Honda Civic Viper. Third Honda I have ever owned. Replaced one warped head at 140K miles on the second one. Over 1,000 jumps using the same one (4+ years). Very reliable and easy to use. Have used it in three different type helmets and easily heard in all. Batteries available at Wal*Mart for about $4.00. Eric Butts was shooting video and wearing a new/unfamiliar canopy. The main had a steering line break. He chopped it and then had a problem with the reserve. I think it was a lineover, but not sure. Fought it down pretty low before it inflated. The video was scary; the audio was just what you would expect, a bunch of grunts and groans until it opened and then a bunch of expletives. Final audio input was something to the effect of "That's enough for today." He did a nice job of saving his life. Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Same with my Vengeance, I guess. See below. I like left hand patterns so I can scan my altimeter as I start the turn. Not sure what the lag is, but when it shows around 500', that works out pretty well. I figure with the lag it is around 350 - 400 or so. The big determiner for me thus far is the sight-picture at the 90 and 180. Of late, I have been high and had to adjust. But better high than low. Shit happens. So in southern California, even the waiver process turns into a screen test? I have been to 16 different dropzones (3 in northern CA) and never heard of doing this. Sorry to hijack, but size, wingloading, what made you go Xfire2 vs the Vengeance you demo'd? IYO, if you jump a Vengeance, would a xfire be a step up or a step laterally?
