Thanks, Lenny. I appreciate it. Someone had to do it. I'm just glad it wasn't me. I was definitely thinking about it though. I'm glad I stuck around. Hopefully next weekend will be perfect. We need it.

0:7:0 The weather finally cleared on Saturday and after a late start I got 4 jumps in. Sunday morning brought some high winds and we just hung out until they died down. Got 3 really fun RW jumps in later, including a 12 way speed star. I was 11th out the door and I was the 6th in. That was fun.

ProTrack Missed a jump, how do I reset Jump numbers, etc.
ryand96 replied to Reginald's topic in Gear and Rigging
That's exactly what he is saying. I have missed a few jumps on hop and pops with less than a 7 second delay. I updated using this same method and it works perfectly. -
Good call. I knew if you thought hard enough you could find something to do with them.

I have to disagree with you on that one. Boobs of all sizes are beautiful. I'm sure you could find something to do with boobs that big.

:13:0 My girlfriend was out of town this past week. Hence no humps and lots of jumps. 13 jumps if you count my weekday jumps. Got in 7 on Saturday. The weather was perfect for the first time in a long time.

RW full-face helmet for contact lens wearer
ryand96 replied to Nightingale's topic in Gear and Rigging
I have put about a hundred jumps on my factory diver and I have never had a problem with my contacts. It's a good helmet for the price. The only thing that I don't like is the audible pocket. I have had my protrack fall out a few times while walking out to the plane. -
How many jumps before you purchased your own rig?
ryand96 replied to Skylark's topic in Safety and Training
Didn't order my mine until I just recently started jumping again after a three year layoff. Before that I was too broke and didn't jump often enough to buy one. I think I had around 75 jumps when I ordered it. I didn't get it until a month ago when I had about 110 jumps. -
:4:2 2 hop and pops, a six way, and a seven way today in between thunder storms. This weather sucks. It could have been 10 jumps. I was at the DZ for 10 hours. Beer owed for first jump on my new Sabre 2 and for my first canopy ride in the rain. That Sabre 2 sure packs up easier when it's wet.

3 Advil Lots of Gatorade followed by lots of water And eat something. It doesn't matter what. Just eat a lot of it.

I don't drink coffee anymore except for an occasional cup of decaf when I feel daring enough. But when I did drink 10 cups of coffee a day it was just plain old coffee - black - no cream and no sugar.

I just received my new Sabre 2 yesterday. It was attached to the PD card and in the bag was a small bag containing slinks and SRC's. They also threw in a small bag of rubber bands.

I do the same thing on every jump with the addition of checking before I get in the airplane. Check your three three's compulsively - 3 handles/3 Straps/3 Rings. As skydivers we need to be obsessive compulsive. Our lives depend on it.

:2:0 2 jumps on Thursday. 1 off dz landing - a belly flop into a cornfield. And I almost lost my pro-track. Fell out of my helmet before we got into the plane. Didn't notice until we were taxiing away. Spent a good 10 minutes looking for it and someone else ended up finding it after looking for 30 seconds. Thanks Tom.

I have been jumping my new zute sute for a few months now and it's great. I got an RW suit with swoop cords and booties. Jenny is extremely helpful and makes a great jumpsuit. I only live ten minutes from her and she let me come over too and pick out my colors from all the fabric that she had. I actually did a belly flop into a cornfield yesterday on landing and the front of my suit was covered in mud. I washed it last night and it looks like new this morning. Not a scratch anywhere. You won't go wrong with a zute sute.

I did watch it with the sound off! It was still very, very bad.

If you decide to use slinks, PD ships slink riser covers with every set of new slinks ordered. The slink riser covers will prevent the slider from coming down the risers. Check out PD's website. http://www.performancedesigns.com/src.htm http://www.performancedesigns.com/slink.asp

I really did not need to see that. Hopefully I will be able to get that image out of my head before my next jump. Watching that was a bad idea. Very Bad.

I recently returned to the sport after a 3 year layoff. I reviewed everything that is taught in a first jump course with a USPA instructor. I then made one jump with that instructor. After that I was good to go. Also, it will help if you make sure you have a current USPA membership before heading back out to the DZ.

:11:1 11 Jumps - 4 Tuesday, 4 Saturday, 3 Sunday 1st Hybrid on Tuesday. Did three of them as part of the base. My back was sore all week long from arching so damn much.
-
:6:1 6 jumps if I count the 2 on Wednesday. 4 on Saturday including an 8way drill dive where we didn't take any grips except for one point right out of the plane. That was great practice. 1 case of beer owed for the first jump on my new rig.

I am supposed to be at work by 6am 6 days a week. Whether or not I actually am is a different story. It sucks waking up at 4:30 after only a few hours of sleep. That snooze button is way too enticing.

My most is 7 and that was this past Sunday. I didn't start until 11:00 and jumped till sunset. I think the only load I missed that day was the one that went up before I showed up. I'm sure I'll be breaking that record easily this summer.
