    I use mostly skateboarding shoes (Airwalk, DCshoes) my reasoning is they grip pretty well when you want (slow speed on the plane for example), and slip n slide on the grass for landing with speed if you need scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

    did you ASK your local instructor/rigger/whatever-responsible-person for gear, gear check etc ? As I read it you just took some gear which looked packed and went... It also seems you didn't give a check to your gear. If you are not happy about things go at your DZ, explain your problem to the "higher instances" of the DZ, and if there is no correction, move to another DZ.     yes we have mortgages, and leases on cars... But we generally have to provide the first 10-20% cash... and I paid all my cars cash... 4 cars in 20 years. Total approx 12'000 USD (not each, for the total of the 4 cars)

The economic world NEEDS to slow down to a more human pace... what I don't understand is why are COMPANIES allowed to deal like that with debt ?
