Insurance brokers warning to DZO's/Plane owners
piisfish replied to PhreeZone's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
almost a tailstrike per month is A LOT. if they are discussed/announced, measures could be taken. If they are hidden, suddenly the total numbers announced are HUGE. I do understand the will of insurance companies to have a change in that. So much for "self-policing" scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM -
Meanwhile in the land of the unfree, http://www.flyyourbody.com/en/online-shop/wingsuits/s-fly-core.html I am pretty sure you will find that page has been up for almost 2 years.....the Fusion page that is. It isn't a new suit at all. if it is still in finalization stage, price and launch date not available yet, it would technically not be "commercially available" scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

Wingsuit tail strikes - lets build some incident reports

my concern was more with the camera than with the wingsuit. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM -
for some people it is, and then they realize they can not fly with others or join the cool stuff, and then they regret/quit scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

Saying you have had it too easy for too long is not US bashing, that may be how you see it but it is not. It is just how it is. Rhys, yor are bitter over something and it affects your common sence. Sparkky resurrecting old threads ? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM -
at least if you want to call it tracking, call it FreeTracking (I should copyright this one) scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

I read somewhere that he struck the tail after breaking his foot in the doorbut that could be wrong scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM -
not really, I would say it is a form of horizontal translation. When you bellyfly or sitfly or whateverfly, and you don't have a good position, would you say that you backtrack ? or you backslide ? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

Well if you live in the middle of bum fuck no-where, you may well have to travel to improve your scope of whats possible. And c'mon traveling in your country is fucking dirt cheap. OK I will add at least 2 more, Eloy AZ and Sebastian FL. Now if the guy says he needs to travel across the country, we will be able to confirm that he lives in Bumfuck, Nowhere scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

In light of the Velo Guy thread...

it is not a question of being held responsible, it is a question of personal guilt. I understand her for not willing to be one of the factors of a bad situation. I sold one of my rigs to someone who told me he had so and so many jumps, like "enough", around 500-600. I sold him the Crossfire2 119, he would be loading it around 1.4 and I considered it a decent transaction. Afterwords, I learnt that he had only accuracy jumps with one of them bigass classic accuracy canopies. He was lucky for a year, but I did feel bad when he femured. I think I should have kept the rig. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM -
I might be wrong, but it seems to me tht the insurance part wouldn't cover you. As suggested by Nigel, it would be best to contact them directly scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

Insurance brokers warning to DZO's/Plane owners
piisfish replied to PhreeZone's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Easy fix, let's have the wingsuiters and swoopers come over to the Land of the Un-free (that would be Europe) and have them perform their disciplins where they can. And leave the Land of the Free with their tandems. FS people and freeflyers could stay in their tunnels, but we also have a couple of these over here to cater for multidisciplin jumpers. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM -

there was a Xaos 21 21, but it wasn't landed. It has been flown successfully several times before killing it's user. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyvh8D55__Y scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
