I hadn't noticed how hard he went to the door to open the pin cover. Pretty hard to do on a Wings. He was hard enough.... What happened to protecting the gear ?? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

with the pin protection offered by his rig I seriously doubt that a proper loop would let the pin out, even by swinging, kicking, rubbing or telekinesing the rig. I would love to have video of such things. Many people AFFIRM their loops are short enough/too short already. I can often shorten it by an inch, by using the same packjob and a proper closing technique (and without excessive strength) scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

why would it be disgusting ? do you have anything against gays ? It seems to me that you might not be discriminating but judging well indeed scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

in the US, aren'tz the TM/I's type rated ? Shouldn't they be properly trained and examined (by manufacturer approved TIE's) ? In that case I do agree that at least for the US, the thread shouldn't exist. But as you noticed, for example, both the OP and myself are not in the US, and at least I do not have a type rating (but do jump Sigmas, Vectors, PdF Atom Tandem, Basik Tandem), which leads to learning "via the instruction manuals and other instructors", and therefore possibly have some information lost in the way... scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

It seems to me that the explanation given by Tom just a couple of posts ago gives great pointers on how to adjust the harness

Do a search for smoke pants. If you don't smoke yourself, ask a smoker to help you out scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

lots of slack there. The best is to adjust the harness according to the Sigma manual. Takes some time to adjust properly a harness.. I don't care about kicking in tandems as fast as possible, I prefer to take my time and have a safe jump and bring my passengers down with me. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

the 90 days requirement is strange... would all of these be equal ? : -1 day A+I+R'ing 10 reserves -1 day directly supervising 1 main packjob -1 day at PIA symposium and sitting in all seminars possible -1 day at PIA symposium and having a beer at the Icarus booth -1 day reading the Gear and Rigging forum on DZ.com it is all part of rigging work scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

cool thanaks, now pleeeeease shre the technicalities... names suits altitudes fall rates and horizontal speed etc etc etc congrats again

try with DZ's who operate multiple planes (maybe they can continue with one less plane), of the DZ's I know of who do move "pretty often" the first ones that comes to mind would be Skydivecenter Spa in Belgium, Pinkskyvan http://www.pinkskyvan.com/, Jan's Beech 99 http://www.beech99.com/, MArco Carrara (in Bologna, Italy http://www.flygang.com/ENG/FGframeHOME.htm). Maybe not all would have the staff for a tandem operation, but they would definitely have contacts to make it happen scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
-
why don't you check with "northern europe" DZ's to have someone fly the whole thing, plane, tandem pilots etc and you get a "turn key" DZ for the week ? scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
