I'm 220lbs without gear and jump a Silhouette 210. Its enough for me to learn my skills and have good fun but placid enough to be very steady and feel confident for landing

Come on people don't be shy. If your saying yes you got to say what your problem is

John. As has been pointed out to you. The article was incorrect or misleading. Certainly the title was. Interested to know how you think the police would be able to afford to seize these vehicle and where they would store them all. You can in the UK, infact, stop any car without it having commited a traffic offence for the purpose of 'checking documents'. If upon checking these documents you find out someone has no insurance (and therefore shouldnt be on a road anyway) then it would be appropriate to remove the vehicle off the highway and there are powers to do that. Power to seize a vehicle for failing to wear a seatbelt doesnt exist and wouldn't be legal due to the Human Rights Act. Any action taken by the police must be justified, reasonable, proportionate and neccesary to the offence. This clearly isnt and the European Convention for Human Rights would have a field day with this

So, we seem to be getting hit hard in SC recently. Do we really have as many problems in this country as some of our foreign ethnocentric friends would like to have us believe? Have you noticed locally gun crime soaring? People having their cars taken off them for petty offences etc. I personally think its all shit. Our media is renowned for inaccurately making ridiculous allegations to stir the public up and get reactions and I believe people outside the country don't realise this and believe what they read. I call these people gullible. In the UK we police by consent. The police do what the law abiding public want. Surveys said there was a disproportionate fear of crime and lack of communication in the community. What do you know, the big neighbourhood policing model was rolled out incorporating police officers, PCSOs, Special Constables, Community Wardens and local authorities. That issue is being addressed as we speak. There isn't uproar about lack of firearms and people concerned about not being able to defend themselves, so nothing is done about it. Its our country. Fuck off. World police you may like to be but you have no place commenting on cultures you don't understand

I take it your referring to yourself as the lazy half arsed bastard. Getting a parrot to open your beer for you. Tut tut. Borders on genious though (if you train him properly)

For a minute I thought you'd gained the ability to travel THROUGH time.... You have no idea how disapointed I am right now
-
Betray us by all means, but try and betray us with a kiss and ill smack you
-
Lol, I had to read it about 3 times before I realised there was obviously some very odd mistake somewhere!
-
Yes thats right. They despatched the order 6 months before me making it hence the good foresight
-
I thought we had agreed its a culture difference. Just because you don't agree with the principle doesn't mean it isn't working in our country... and it is to an extent. It will never stop 100% of incidents but it certainly helps. That cannot be disputed because it is fact. Remember, its very rare to accidently drown in the bath, accidently stab yourself repeatedly to death, beat yourself to death with a baseball bat. Its much easier to accidently discharge a firearm hurting yourself or some other innocent party

i ordered something from the states YESTERDAY and thought I'd just check the tracking number They sure have good foresight. Sadly I haven't received it yet. Do you think I should complain?
-
We can still do the same here. Just takes a bit more time to get initial licence. After that you have to declare and justify the use of any other weapon. I heard off a firearms officer that typically you can own up to 5 rifles without any problem for target use. That could even be a .50 cal
-
It won't. You know why? Because of the tight regulations it wont get into hands of those who shouldnt be in posession of a firearm. We always talk this subject to death. The truth is, its a culture difference. I don't know a single person in the UK who feels they need a weapon to be safe so its a bit of an pointless debate. If guns were more readily availabe in the family home, there would be even more instances of their inappropriate usage. Thats is indisputable. As there is no demand it wont happen... yet. Maybe one day. But we'll decide for ourselves thanks. Its not the government flexing their muscles. Its not what the people want
-
As an experiment, and as I have been wanting to anyway for a long time, I made my initial application for a firearms certificate today. Not a shotgun licence but one that would allow use of semi automatic rifle or large caliber single shot rifle for 'target' use I'll keep you posted! I believe though that I have to be the member of a recognised gun club for at least six months prior to it being entertained

Takes some getting used to but worth it... (see attached)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I don't believe global warming is occuring to the extent we are or have been led to believe. This planets survived periods as a big ball of ice and as a firey volcanic mass. Its all part of the seasons of the planet. It will do just fine no matter what we throw at it. Whether our actions are acting as a catalyst for change and whether or not we survive is another matter altogether
-
True. Plus those that really want to still can, just not any kind of pistol, semi auto over .22 or fully auto anything (if my memory serves me correctly)

I don't know whos worse Im going to the sanctuary of my bed where people can't intrude my thoughts and pollute my brain with images like that *shudders* - Goodnight!

Well done to the airline. They've got to think of everyone else too. Stupid kid, Probably get diagnosed with ADHD or something and then we'll all have to feel sorry for the little brat
