Don't worry. I made the big mistake of selling my old rig, now I'm trying to acquire everything I need again. Really sucks. If you are having a break or are struggling DONT SELL YOUR RIG! Just chuck it in a cupboard somewhere as one day you'll wish you never got rid of it.

I like the look of these. Very neat. Not over engineered and not so expensive. http://www.dzsports.co.uk/airgun-cutaway-system-462-p.asp

That seems weird. Water injection has been used in perfromance engines for a long time to cool the combustion down and prevent detonation to allow higher compression ratios or levels of boost to be run. I don't understand how it will create performance games in a standard engine.

If you're really paranoid you could buy police type evidence bags. They are see through and once sealed are tamperproof. The only way to open them is to cut or rip the plastic. http://www.waproducts.net/section4/teb_seal.html Quite what they would make of all your possessions being bagged up in police evidence bags, however, is another matter! I tend to take my valuable or fragile items on as carry on.

I had a good experience with them a long time ago now. Can't remember the delivery times but communcation was good. Have you tried giving them a call? I ordered a rig that got held up at customs for weeks before I got a letter advising me they had it. All sorts of reasons you might have adelay, although saying that its only 2 days over what they told you.

You See A Skydiver In the Middle of O'Hare ... What Do you Do?

... and then his freakin' chute cuts away! Those words still make me cringe -
Hey, that looks good. Someone had a simpler one on here a while ago that I used quite a bit.

I'm getting the same with Firefox

Classic! I wouldn't have thought to look in my packjob!

No you wouldn't because they are more vertical, 'down-the-tube' type jumps. As it progresses and people post more they will have to prefix their title with ATMO or similar to attract the attention to the right people. Personally I don't care about this physics debate and people that sit here with nothing better to do than make up witty retorts should stop wanking over how clever they are and get their withered little hand off the computer mouse. What I do acknowledge is that it does require skills unlike other forms of freeflying, there are specific safety requirements for Atmo jumps, their is already an outline of moves/transitions/flight positions and I'd like to have an opportunity to discuss that with like minded people without having to filter through all the crap.

OK, now lets see your Polish so that everyone can mock you

To bump this thread a little and add some further support to the original poster.... I think this thread as well as the other recent Atmonauti thread have proved that it would probably be worthwhile to have its own sub-category. I'm intending on learning seriously and would like to have an opportunity to read and discuss without unconstructive comments from others who have no interest in the topic. So I'm another FOR.

Ouch! I just got a new hardtail and getting used to cleats I've fallen off countless times. Bastard things.

Optima, Viso and Solo L&B Mounting options
Scoop replied to txlottowinner's topic in Gear and Rigging
The horrible gum type wire that comes with the Solo is a waste of space. I used car windscreeen bonding sealant all the way around the body of the unit and used the ties to hold it in place, then I wrapped a couple of cable ties around it neatly. Only problem with that is when you need to change the battery as the tray was sealed shut. The old pro dytter/pro track was easy. I bonded the backing plate on the helmet and used the elastic provided. -
I got a Z1 Evo. Its nice although I found it uncomfortable when I put an audible in the lining so I ended up mounting them externally.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=no7tyW31ekE You have to laugh because its very true. Remember the horrible "lifestyles of the rich and the fmaous"? - YUK!

Oh shush you! You'll have to get used to smaller portions and you better start saving as our money is worth alot more than your monopoly stuff

You did post it in the Bonfire! What did you expect!?

Yet another Northern fucking band. I hate to say it but they all sound the same

Have a look on YouTube for 'atmonauti'. There is loads of videos on there. Looking at the angles they are flying at, to me, it doesn't look like tracking, its much steeper. Its not a traditional freefly down-the-tube jump either. I think it deserves credit as a discipline in its own right. Someone was wanting to see video of a feet first atmo jump. Thats on there too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_XZ8C7_mfw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCDDjJVMUBE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fmCBA1bNY4

The physics might be a load of shit but its still a new discipline and there is a lot of people trying to deny that. I'm sure people took the piss the first time someone put bars on the end of their bikes wheel nuts and hopped up on a bench. People probably dismissed it as a discipline when someone decided that the spectacle of oversteer should have its own category and be called drifting. They laughed when that chap made a mistake and picked up the football and ran the pitch with it giving birth to the wonderful sport now known as rugby.
-
Wow, there has been some real shitty comments in this thread. Whats wrong with someone trying to nurture a new discipline? So what if it seems a bit over hyped? Maybe in this case my lack of experience gives me a clearer, less arrogant outlook. I personally think it looks quite exciting and a challenge to add another dimension to your flight. Oh, and I have orange on my jumpsuit. What can I say, I like the euro look!
