Hi there.....that is probably the closest to you. There is also Skydive Adventure in Omro. It is about 45 minutes from Milwaukee. That is my home dropzone which I will gladly be returning to in 3 weeks!! We only have a 182 there, but a lot of fun people. Come join us sometime..... skygirl1 " Mean people SUCK!"

Welcome........I belive I have seen your ads in the Parachutist for your coaching camp. Wish I could afford it but I cannot right now. The great thing about skydiving is you never stop learning. I used to think the same thing......people are people and no one deserves..blah, blah, blah... Then I became a maximum security prison guard and observed killers, rapists, child beaters, walk around the prison with no regret and no regard for what they did and anyone around them. For 10 inmates we release, within 3 months 4 would be back for the same crime. I have pity for victems, not CONVICTED offenders. What kind of monster could hurt a child? skygirl1 " Mean people SUCK!"

That is exactly the reason I turned my badge in as a police officer........my first instinct would be to beat the shit out of those people..........how sad, I will put that girl in my prayers...... skygirl1 " Mean people SUCK!"

I will not date redheads.. I will not date cops...I used to be one and did not agree with the " better than thou" attitiude... Wecome.....I know of a few skydivers that consider the opening of their parachute their chiropracter, personally for me I never had back or neck problems until I lost altitude awarness and pulled on my back....OUCH.....but I followed the "pull"rules...... good luck in the air skygirl1 " Mean people SUCK!"

Actually another person beyond my BF witnessed some of it. I do not want to mention it to the widower due to the nature of her death. I don't want to make him start remembering again. I did not even know the lady......my BF was good friends with her........I keep her house clean and take care of her animals until her husband gets back......... geez........I hope i did not do anything to piss her off.. skygirl1 " Mean people SUCK!"

This is going to sound off the wall.........but I am staying in a house that is haunted I am staying at a friends house while he is in New York. His wife died suddenly 6 months ago....pretty violent death. 3 weeks ago I started noticing weird shit. Water bottles falling off table.......light suddenly turning on and off. Last night I was trying to go to sleep but something kept slamming in the house....I got up and sat in the living room and noticed everything had been knocked off the table.....and the pantry door was open. I went back to bed and heard more noises..........got back up and the pantry door was shut. Man, I cannot sleep!!!!! Can ghosts kill you? or just freak the hell out of you? skygirl1 " Mean people SUCK!"

I totally agree with you................after having lived at a DZ and learning to pack.....I decided to learn to skydive............at times it was awful........I remember many a time I felt like I was being pushed into doing things above my progression level.....I almost quit......one incident happend that sticks out in my head very clearly......I was going on my 2nd...10 second delay in the static line program..I boarded the plane and was psyched to jump........my JM and good friend told me I was going all the way to the top.......I told him No....I was on a progression for a reason.....argument starts in the plane.......I refused to jump.......landed with the plane......he made apologies to me and is still a good friend........... Some consider me anal when it comes to my jumping.......maybe it is because I lived there before I jumped and heard all the horror stories.... If I am totally uncomfortable with a situation I will not jump.......if every instinct is telling me not to get out of the door....I won't. Good topic Nightingale skygirl1 " Mean people SUCK!"

I am thinking about buying a used reserve that has had 4 jumps on it...............is there a quota on how many jumps a reserve can have on it before it is no longer considered safe to jump? I ask this because a fellow skydiver thought there was a max amount of jumps a reserve canopy can have and then is required to be retired. blue skies and safe landings skygirl1 " Mean people SUCK!"

That post was adorable......but I cannot say that I did........actually, the only time I was in a plane before skydiving was about 5 years ago.....and I was puking and crying the whole time.........I HATE PLANES!!......so I never pictured myself boarding one to throw myself out the door........ safe landings skygir1 " Mean people SUCK!"
