Can tell you about a really annoying one... My friend tried to hook me up with this "high-flyer" who works in The City (central London for you non-locals).. She went on and on about how great we would get along. I finally told her to give him my number. He texted a couple of times and then called me to suggest getting together. He was charismatic and funny.. He suggested a "surprise".. I was intrigued.. He said we should meet in Covent Garden (a pretty expensive/trendy area) and that I should "wear something sexy". So that Friday, I went to work looking like sex on a stick (because we were meeting *right* after work).. I got comments ALL DAY from colleagues, who noticed I wasn't looking as drab, make-up-less and gray as usual.. "Ohhh.. You got a HOT DATE??" I left the office ON TIME, walked a couple of blocks on cobbled stone IN STILETTOS, got on the tube (metro), and AS THE DOORS SHUT, I got a text from the guy telling me he was canceling because he had forgotten about some leaving do for one of his work colleagues. I was "surprised" alright.. "There is no problem so bad you can't make it worse." - Chris Hadfield « Sors le martinet et flagelle toi indigne contrôleuse de gestion. » - my boss

No. No. No. Post: Between The Lines. Meaning: I have a superior intellect and perceive things in ways you can not hope to. Reply: No No No Meaning: I have superior intellect and you can only hope to one day think about trying to acheive the thought of dreaming how to be like me. POST: Please give me advice on... MEANING: I have no real friends to speak of and poor enough judgement that I will ask even you fuckers just for a giggle. People were fighting over what I should do with my nipple Also, I offered to let someone help console me by fondling my right breast to compensate for my left nipple.. So far, no takers.. ah no, I don't have my nipple pierced but I do have some initials behind my name when I sign my charts emt (emergency medical technician) P.M. (paramedic) and R.N. (registered nurse) and a few others... anyway I hope you heal quickly if it looks infected see your MD. Awww.. Come on you two.. Kiss and make up (And take video ) You both have very good points - you're just coming at it from different angles... From a medical standpoint, putting a foreign object in one's body is probably inherently stupid and unnatural.. Putting various things on wounds to help heal seems like the right thing to do - to help the wound heal From a piercing point of view, putting creams or ointments on a piercing that is healing is harsh and prevents proper healing of a piercing.. Concern is all about ensuring nothing infects or irritates the piercing. Both correct in the right context. No more fighting, ok? We all agree that it needs to be treated with due care to prevent infection

Only because I don't know any reputable piercers over here and also I just started a new job and am working crazy hours at the moment.. Hard to find time to step away from my desk, and I'm getting home when everything is shut.. I'll call various piercers on Saturday, but in the meantime welcome some input from people on here that know what they're talking about. Obviously I'm taking everything with a large dose of salt!!! Anyway, according to my recent poll with *more* participants, the average age a skydiver has her first orgasm is less than 16.. Maybe I should also have asked - do you have a low self esteem? Maybe I could publish the results and make some money!!! NOW we're talkin'!! Yep.. I agree.. The genetic traits were probably less relevant.. Was just suggesting several things that popped into my head.. But choice or not, I'm not convinced it's an *indicator* of self-esteem, but that some people with some tattoos may also just happen to have low self esteem.. But that doesn't mean that people will get tattoos *because* of low self-esteem or vice-versa.. They could easily be *totally* unrelated. And my other point was that I reckon poor self-esteem is probably *more* common that good self-esteem in the first place.. Not based on any reliable source or study, though - just my own opinion!! No idea what that means.. But anyway, here is a picture of the jewelry I had in. Until I put it back in my piercing, I'm unable to determine whether the piercing has been stretched on one side or if the tear is actually a surface "scratch" from the "pendant" bit (which also got stretched & pulled off when the ball came flying off). Maybe it was actually this bit that got caught, but it was a swift motion & impossible to tell. Hell - I'll kiss the other and make her forget completely about the situation.

That is not a piercing, that is a wound. It may be a jagged cut which is superficial, or it may be worse requiring medical attention. None of us can tell from here now can we? But hey maybe you are a physician. how deep is the laceration, do you know? If it was very deep at all she would be at the hospital. Honestly... these questions and the half joking comments on the pictures are actually VERY VALID points. When the piercing was ripped from the tissue, how much damage was done? If this is a true laceration, depending on the type of scar you want, you should get it looked at by a professional. It might need to have the wound closed... maybe even surgically. Without seeing it and without a full history, any advise you get over the internet is foolish at best, dangerous at worst. Especially if it continues bleeding.... GO TO THE DOCTOR!! Ummm.. Yes.. Laceration is a bit strong... If a car hit you going 0.2mph, you might have been "hit" by it, but it's not gonna kill you! I did try to post a pic, but as I said, my camera is fairly crap, so you can't see anything at all. Now it's cleaned up, it's hard to tell anything happened anyway. It's definitely not going to scar or be visible.. Just wonder if it'll re-heal crooked. Piercings can migrate over time even without anything happening to the piercing.. Note it stopped bleeding not long after I took off the band-aid - probably cause it got some fresh air.. But when it happened this morning, much like when you cut yourself shaving, it's wet and you don't want to stain your clothes while you wait for the bleeding to stop... It will definitely be A-ok.. Still curious if anyone has had this happen & how it turned out if they did put the piercing straight back in.. I'm leaving it alone for now, except to care for it & keep it from getting infected. Pretty unlikely, though, as it's just on one side where the ball got caught in the door.. Edit to say: jtnesbitt - just read your last post.. Good advice.. Think I will leave it be for a couple of days and try that.. It's unlikely to close in such a short time! Equine excrement? I would probably comment on the possiblity of a type 1 error and would question the methodology of that study, specificially the selection bias' Correlation doesn't imply causation... But hey maybe you are a physician. how deep is the laceration, do you know? If it was very deep at all she would be at the hospital. OMG!!! I haven't torn off my nipple!!! It's a tear on one side that is about 3mm long.. Significant, but hardly life-threatening!!! My main concern isn't whether is will heal or get infected.. I have 17 piercings, so am familiar with how to care for them.. What I'm not so sure about is migration (when a piercing moves from where it was originally put & heals "crooked"). It's unlikely to be rejected, as the "wound" isn't so deep, it's an old piercing, etc.. But I'm just not sure how it will heal if I put it straight in again (which I think would normally be a better idea if well looked after). I know lots of piercers are probably unreliable drug-dealers who like playing with needles.. But on the same token, I doubt a doctor would know the first thing about piercing migration.. D'oh.. If anyone knows a reliable source or has had this happen, please let me know what was the outcome.. Thanks for all the responses. Seems a bit of a stupid study.. If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say that it's probably more common to have a low self-esteem than it is to have a high one!! Although socially people tend to want to give the *impression* that they "don't care what others think", etc., etc.. So really.. The tattoos are probably no more of an indicator of poor self esteem than the colour of one's eyes, or the length of one's hair, or whether one wears jewelry or hats, et cetera. Just my opinion. It will heal a little funny looking that's for sure. There is an on again/off again otter pilot in Eloy who used to be called gimpple for exactly this reason. Only i think his got ripped completely out. Don't think this would be the case with me!!! But I can imagine a bit of migrating.. Think I will opt for leaving it out for a couple of days and see from there. OMG - OUCH!!! Thanks for the posts.. I just got home and took the band-aid off.. Still bleeding See, I would have been of the opinion that I should leave the jewelry in and clean it just like a fresh piercing.. What I'm unsure about though is how it will heal.. It's torn on one side as it got pulled out I've actually tried to take a picture so you would see what I mean, but my camera is crap & can't focus so well. D'oh.
