    If you are flying close enough for a 10mm lens, then you are putting yourself and the other your filming in a danger zone (tandems & aff) I know this from my experience with a camera flyer 1st hand. Its way to close to be with tandem . There is absolutely no need to fly that close to a tandem! Especially with your experience level.     I probably average around 20 or 30 shots they want to blow up for the wall on any given jump. I'd post an entire shoot but its to many files to upload. I don't just hold down the shutter and hope for the best. I always get shots inside the plane ,take some portraits out side the plane "those alone will sell the whole package" Portraits after with all the family and friends etc etc etc... Some times the other staff get annoyed a bit by the shooting because i do a couple poses by the plane and stuff.. But hey i like to do a professional photography job. I always show samples of my work (video & stills)prior to jumping with anyone anyways, and that alone is worth its weight in gold for a sales pitch.     I have to defend him here.I can't count how many times people ask me "well how many pictures am i going to get for my money on a cd" the more i tell them the better chance for a sale of them. To me i only need a few for the money shot. But i shoot an average of 100 or more photo's on a tandem or aff, and i always have so many awesome shots that the customer can't decide which one they want for there free 8 x 10 .So they end up buying several xtra 8 x 10's at $10.00 each even though they are getting all the files on a cd. They are so excited about how great they look they don't even think of that. See the attachments for a couple samples of my work :) The second shot was a parachutist this summer ,don't remember what month.     I don't even load photo's to the site any more for this reason .If you don't sell them when the student is in the excited heat of the moment ,you won't sell them at all.     I actually started to set up xp with bootcamp last week and ran into an issue before i got started .I'll do some more with it this weekend maybe. Whats your opinion on the fc xpress 4? The whole reason i ask this is because i use the same mac os to do all my photo editing printing and burning during the day as i load the video while i'm doing photo stuff. Then i let them view the video unedited before they leave.I edit during the week and mail the video's .     God i wish i could go to pia to meet you and learn a bit more about editing this avchd on my mac! But going just isn't in my sights right now. I'm thinking of getting the newest imovie 09 when it comes out next month. Right now i don't have anything to convert my video at all.     If you have hard enough opening to break it loose the way you have it set up ,it won't matter anyways . You'll wish the helmet came off or the mount broke to save your neck??!! :) p. s.     I agree 100% Hell i'm willing to do that kind of stuff for the local newbie just to make sure they are mentored. I get upset when people won't fill out a profile because they want to slap a camera on there head so bad they can't stand it. God forbid they give important information that might help us help them.     I create a new folder on my desktop with a date and then number my jump folders inside that after each jump 12345 etc. etc.. Then after i have enough dated folders i burn them to dvd with the to and from dates on it. I have a trail version of lightroom but have not tried it yet . I have a full version of aperture too.     I didn't figure i'd find much about the upload times since i never found anything in the past .I been researching the cx12 for awhile now .I broke down and bought one yesterday. Abes had it for 639.00 + xtra 4 hr battery for 45.00.I hated to buy it now because its our off season .
