    Thats ok if you don't ever need to remove the camera from the box for putting it in a dock and charging ,loading your video etc etc. I have my cx 12 top mounted with a stroboframe. And i have to remove that to sit it in the dock for loading video right now. I have not got proficient enough yet with vegas pro to do all my edits with it. It is just so much easier to unscrew a thumb screw if it is side mounted.     I like the cookie back box, I'd stick with the side mount . The cookie box needs a thumb screw thru the bottom of the box into the camera. You'll be able to access it with ease being on the side too. If it's top mounted it a pain .     I have an external mic sennheiser ex100. I can't seem to get this thing to pick up the mic. I have read the manual over and over again. It tells you how to set the audio source but not in enough detail. It does not state which color does what. It says when the blue and yellow are lit that is the audio mode . But which one is external or internal. And how do i know it's set?     I have not had any stabilization problems with mine. I usually use auto shutter or beach and ski mode with manual focus ,set the wide angle lens setting too. I have an assortment of lenses ,depending on what im doing. .3 raynox for tandem outside video, .3 baby death for handcam as long as my passenger is average size or smaller . Don't want to try fighting a big guy out the door of the cesna and bang my 300.00 lens up . For those guys i use my royal .3 ,low profile but not as wide of angle as the baby death.     I created a new project , changed the format to wide screen 720 in there and it looks normal now. I'm assuming thats the only option there, for the hd project.     I Have version 5.0 and am trying to do an hd video but the default setting is 720x480 ntsc in disk properties. The drop down doesn't give anything higher than that? Any suggestions?     I think it looks like a great light weight free fall camera . Looks like the frame rate is a bit slow at 0.7 frames per second, but it's light weight. I see it doesn't have ttl viewer. But you wouldn't need it for free fall anyways.     Amen to that one brother! Our work is our work, and we deserve to be paid for it. People think that its okay to steel your work, thats crap. It rakes my nerves when someone says "hey can you email me that photo or photos from that skydive" without even offering to pay for it or your jump or something. It really pisses me of to hear a company would steel your work... let me know what you decide to do, Im curious to see how this one plays out. People think because you are their "friend" you will give them your work for free. Most of them are "friends" with their packer too, tell them to go ask the packer for free pack jobs because ya know after all they are "friends" see how that shit works out.....     I have a royal .3 that works just fine on the cx12 with no vigneting.I wonder if royal makes a .2 or .25 that has no vignetting? Or what's the black eye .25 that i see sometimes like?     I just received a liquid .2 for my cx12 and it is awful! See the attached screen grab? It arrived with a scratch or something on the lens that will not come off so it's going back. I have a century baby death .3 too but don't want to beat it up doing handcams .
