Agreed! When I was in the Navy, the best part of traveling to a different country for me was to see which way all the rest of my ship mates went, then go the other way. I would find a local resturant and eat the local food and just generally enjoy the hell out of it. My fondest memory is of sitting in a neat little outdoor resturant in Spain, eating some yummy seafood dish, sipping on a glass of wine that they made on site, and looking out over the Med. Truly one of the happiest times of my life.

More to the point, what is it about getting old that entitles you to my money? I say let the damn thing go bust.

There is nothing fascinating about accidental death. There is nothing to learn from looking at the broken shell someone has just left. I have never witnessed a skydiving fatality, I hope to God I never do. I have, however, seen more than my share of death, and there is nothing "elite" about it. Please stay away from Pennsylvania. Better yet, seek professional help. There is something wrong with you.

Futurama reruns (best show ever), usually hit up some Science Channel and Military Channel. Other than that, TV rots your brain.

Bummer to hear you didn't jump, Mike. I'm very surprised at how sore I am right now from practicing my arch. Wow do I need to start exercising again. My neck is killing me. So a bit of exercise sounds good (sort of), and maybe I won't have to jump the 260 if I can drop a few pounds.

Freaking wind!!! It was just a bit too windy to allow students to jump. On the plus side, though, I got several hours of refresher courses (Mike, you da man) so the next time I'm there, which will be in about four or five days, it's go time. As long as Ma Nature plays nice. So today was a bust for jumping, but I'm glad as all get out that I went. I should have done a tandem, at least I would have been able to feel the wind again. I'm trying to find even a little part of me that's mad, but you know, I'm overall very happy with the day. I got more training, which is always a good thing, I saw some buds, and yay for my DZ for keeping my frail body safe.

I'm off to make my first jump in over a year. I'm excited, I'm scared of that first step out of the Porter, I've been doing a dive in my mind for about the last three days, trying to remember the feelings, lots of stuff going on in my head right now. Has anyone else gone through this? I keep trying to review the stuff from the SIM, when to open, when to make my turns on final, wind conditions, clouds, spotting, etc. What a neat feeling! When I'm back, I'll try to post here again to share my newbieness with you all.

I just got off the phone with my DZ. Tomorrow at 10:00 I go skydiving for the first time in a year.

If every day can be Earth Day, why can't every month be Masturbation month? Oh well, off to celebrate and do my part...

We're not carnivores or herbivores. We're omnivores. How many prey animals have binocular vision or canine teeth? Even chimpanzees will occasionally take a smaller monkey to eat. We're just a whole lot better at it. Plus, steak tastes better than tofu.

Reese Sticks and a funny movie would complete the equation. I'm jealous!

For the final exam in my philosophy 101 class, I gave the professor back an empty sheet of paper. I told him that words would be too limiting. I got a perfect grade for the course. Weirdest class I ever had.
