  1. So basically, if Charles Manson had access to the internet, he could be an ordained minister? Great..
  2. I wouldnt consider that playing hard. I would say that staying in a hostel and spending that "five star money" on skydiving or other fun activities would be playing hard.
  3. Another thing that your coach probably mentioned to stop doing is the "pie plate" position with your arms. Not trying to be rude, just bringing it up since it is one of those habits that can be hard to get rid of. Also, if you are going to the gym anyway(I dont know if you are) you should hop on the "leg separater" machine. That will get the strength in your legs and the muscle control to relax your upper body while flying your legs.
  4. Apparently not. All you have to do to get banned is start talking some serious shit about one of the green people. Go ahead...it will be fun.
  5. As far as not getting the results you wanted, how often do you change your weight training program, meaning how many weeks do you go doing the same exercise/machine for the same muscle? I was told by several different trainers that lack of results is usually attributed to one of two things: Overtraining, or more likely getting stuck doing the same exact exercises over a long period of time.
  6. look into skiing helmets, there are some that are alot less expensive and provide more protection than most skydive helmets. Don't let them tell you that you need a "skydive" helmet to go skydiving.
  7. I guess I was making the assumption that you are part of that "novelty" group due to the fact that you admitted to paying that much for a "special" beer when I got 5 or 6 22 ozer's that were each ten times better than yours, all of them totalling the price you paid for one.
  8. That is why there is a difference between "novelty" drinkers and beer drinkers.
  9. Especially a beer made by Sam Adams. They make it sound like they are the first ones to ever use chocolate in a beer recipe. What a fucking joke.
  10. Yes it is rude and annoying as fuck. Everyone has to do their part to stop it though because the only way they can put this shit on TV is if people are watching it. You have to turn off your TV or radio when you see or hear shit like this. I think that is our best bet.
  11. Man, I am glad I dont live in Ohio. You got way too much time on your hands.
  12. did he even skydive at all?
  13. There has to be more to it if all his/her posts were deleted. C'mon, spill it.
  14. Since that "disliking" thread got way off track, I will ask it here. A few people asked what happened with Spectre230. Someone tell us newbie dummies what the story was with that. And no, we dont need anymore jackass comments, just tell us.
  15. You did say that. I have to agree that AFF is more fun. Some people just feel the need to let you know that they think they are better than you. Dont worry, have fun.
  16. 8 for 8. No tandems. To include something in the answer, let us know if you did a tandem before you started AFF. Im wondering if that helps anyone.
  17. Hmmmmnn... Dont know about that. I guess it is possible but the view at Otay is ten times better than Elsinore or Perris.
  18. And yet another riveting response providing absolutely nothing useful.
  19. Yes! Please dont move here, it is already way too crowded. It didn't help that they brought that stupid fucking real world bullshit here. Atleast they already left.
  20. Go with the coaching!!! I bought the camera and I only have about 200 freefly jumps. I noticed that I was thinking too much about getting a good shot and not enough about what I was doing. Wait to get a camera and focus on your flying so that, as someone said above, when you do get a camera, the flying will be automatic and you won't continue with any bad habits (if you have any). I would say that the coaching will definitely make you a better flyer in the long run. Plus, there are always good deals on ebay.
  21. Its better when the lady you are with doesnt need to be impressed by spending three times as much on drinks.
  22. Dives are where its at all the time.
  23. Easy for you to say, you have a HD spotter! I know this but it still sucks. I dont think that it is a physical impossibility for someone to learn from him how to spot in a relatively short period of time. It seems like if something goes really wrong, there is not much that anybody could do, no matter how much spotting experience they have. I watched him get slammed into the wall last night, and there was nothing he could do about it except brace for impact. I know I should be more patient, but I dont want to be.
