Well, we all have to admit that this is a technically nice stunt... Fabien BASE#944

Soooo true! Fabien BASE#944

Can we join? Such a nice ( and obviously legal ) object should be made public... Fabien BASE#944

Maybe. This is a Vampire, which has a pretty big legwing. Don't worry about your first spin, it's coming soon. I was beginning to believe flat spin in a WS was an urban legend, or a special for those who can't fly. It took me some time to experiment by myself... Fabien BASE#944

I had recently my first flat spins, on two consecutives occasions, while exiting hte otter in a back loop facing tail. Strange enough, it used to be a common manoeuvre to me, and I didn't feel any pb with it before. I assume this is related to the same legwing issue, since closing the arm wings accelerate the spin... Anyway, no big deal in getting out of this, but it hurts the ego ( twice in a row )! Fabien BASE#944

Just to add to the debate: We in France are subject to respect a No of jumps vs weight table, which define the minimum size of canopy you are allowed to use. It's a pain in the ass, since it's pretty restrictive, and apply to all jumpers with less than 600 jumps, with progressive downsizing possibility. But at least, it surely saved some ass, and still will. Fabien BASE#944

What about objects not listed in neither list ( such as a small rig, no bigger than, or any item NOT normally carried in cabin baggage... )? Do they disappear from existence? Fabien BASE#944

Hey hey hey... Don't draw any hasty conclusion here. She's only half french, and half norvegian. Needless to say, I don't take it against the norgies... Fabien BASE#944

That's correct. wait until the us$ is higher than the euro, and buy one. I bought my first base rig from basic research when the us$ was at its peak, and you couldn't have spent much... Fabien BASE#944

At last, some advertisment toward the international market... But if everybody jumps a Hybrid, should I order one? Au fait, ça va mieux! Fabien BASE#944

Well, the good point is I met the famous norwegian nurses from Stavanger... Fabien BASE#944

Do you say that for me? And one boat evacuation in the middle of the night... Fabien BASE#944

To everybody in Lysebotn: I'm now in stavanger, and out of hospital. Xray showed no fracture, neither on the back nor the arm, so i'm pretty lucky with that, and I walk away with a sprained wrist and an aching back, not a big reward for that gross pilot error I made. I want to express once again my gratitude to everyone of you who took great care of me yesterday, you know who you are, and I owe you much. I hope you'll have some great jumps in Kjerag for the rest of the heliboogie. Fabien BASE#944

Hi all I'm leaving to Norway tomorrow, and I just noticed I won't be able to make the ferry, according to my airplane schedule. Will there be anybody driving from Stavanger tomorrow ( monday the 19th ) afternoon to Lysebotn, who could pick me up? My cellphone is: +33674017221. Many thanx for help!!! Fabien BASE#944

Since we're talking of V1, here's my concern: I got half a dozen jumps on mine now, and I've got that feeling that it's immenslely fast, and that the flight is ridiculously short, compared to my old crossbow. That would mean that, despite an apparently good glide, the fall rate is high. Or that may also mean that I'm flying it in a dive, at a speed higher than the best glide speed. Any feedback by V-1 users? Fabien BASE#944

the wine helping, I didn't feel the pain... but I felt it on the morning after! You definitely need to cut your cat's claws! Fabien BASE#944

Let me give you a call. I brought this Bordeaux 2000 that I need to share. Fabien BASE#944

Hello there... This is a short notice, but anyway..; I'll be in your area tomorrow tuesday 04/25 and the day after. Does anybody think that bringing a base rig in could be useful? Cya Fabien BASE#944

I used to pull from full flight with my low-perf crossbow WS, and then collapsing everything. Perfect openings each time with my Xfire 2. First times I jumped my new V1 ended up in long, sniveling openings with the same technique. So I assume that the airspeed works AGAINST the opening, by, maybe, keeping the PC inflated and creating higher resistance on the slider. Right or wrong? Anybody? Fabien BASE#944

Will be in Perris Valley on 10/11th of may... Bringing my base rig and some breakcord may be an option if you're around... keep in touch... And also in LB at the same time as Neil... Fabien BASE#944

Like going hand held off that 170 feet E, twice in a row, and driving away shaking your head and saying 'that was stupid'? Hope to meet you again, on this EP or another... Fabien BASE#944
