I saw someone land under a downplane...and the person is still alive...so yes a downplane is survivable.....now I'd like to say it was my prompt emergency medical care at the scene that helped him...BUT...it was alot of factors stacked in this chicks favor....like a nice FL thunderstorm and hour earlier...and landing in a giant puddle.....so dont say it is NOT survivable...by the way she did bust her self up real good.... the building was 14 stories tall....take that times approx 15 foot for commercial high rise and you end up with 210 feet...it was probably 10 to 15 feet higher than that with all the other fun stuff on top of normal high rises.....I say this as both a firefighter/paramedic and a BASE jumper..... 210 feet is not "hard core".....150 foot is....and you can pull off a 150 foot base jump.....not that I'd know...or anything...lowest for me is 235.... the only reason I have a membership is because I have to not because I want to....a very BIG difference...... if USPA dropped there GM program I would support them more...but since they wont....I am not happy having to pay to play.....
