the FDNY brothers that I lost on 9/11 KNEW FOR SURE that building was coming down...yet they still went in....when I saw those planes hit I knew from my original time in the fire academy the steel in that place would not hold...yet they still went in.... as a firefighter and a paramedic...we go where others do not wish to tread...now whether that makes me a hero or not...I do not know....but I did rescue 22 dogs last night from a fire....it was fun....but I dont see that as heroic....even if the fire was licking our ass a little.......
