  2. Seeing as I have no desire to pass on my genes to anyone (have had depression and addiction issues for as long as I can remember into my childhood) its really not a hard choice. Especially as someone interested in psychology, some serious longterm studies could be accomplished. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard
  3. mmmm self mutilation.... all they really wanted was a hug from their parents when they were little... look what happened. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard
  4. next time you want to ask people, don't tell them he is your brother. just ask them to look at the photo and see what they notice. telling them he is your brother AND that half the family swears you look alike, automatically will bias a large number of people due to perception sets (we see what we expect to see) _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard
  5. well.. thats cool. In Chicago if you ask for traffic school and they don't give it to you, you just pleaded guilty (i.e. why would you need traffic school if you weren't guilty). _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

  7. people were getting sick here in Chicago when that 60 degree weather rolled in. Almost everyone I knew (including myself) was sick. Thank god for this snow storm _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard
  8. I was listening to some early morning radio hosts in Chicago debate this. The consensus was that "freedom of speech exists to protect what you don't want to hear, not what you do want to hear" _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

Put your name in, click submit, click back, click submit, repeat until it gives you a name you like since it always changes. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

A couple minutes later I was leaping over 7ft tall book cases without touching them... sugar wow... _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

  17. I also have no issue with people eating or injecting chemically altered tobacco based chemicals into their system. Ever take a cigarette butt back off the street and throw it back into their car? Everyone says that THEY "always use the ashtray". My observation so far is bullshit. Every single smoker I've seen that claims that must think the entire outdoors is their ashtray. But that's just anecdotal - I have no Newsmax or LA Times link to provide. oh please, show us the way of your perfect life where you have never been responsible for a piece of trash finding its way to the ground. I'd love to find a way of living that did not produce ANY garbage. If environmental issues are your primary concern, then I am sure we will all understand when you quit skydiving. Because certainly anyone who is concerned with the environment wouldn't A) move from point a to the dropzone in a vehicle that burns fuel and B) participate in a sport that requires an aircraft which produces tons of pollution. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard
  18. Cigarette burns, fumbling around for another/a lighter/lighting it...sounds rather distracting...could lead to an accident... an attractive woman on the sidewalk can also be distracting, better ban attractive women. drinking ANYTHING (coffee, water, soda, etc) could be a distraction while driving. having any kind of communication with any passenger in your vehicle could be a distraction. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard
  19. damn.. and here I thought I was a citizen, you know the whole life, liberty, pursuit of happiness thing. smoking makes me happy. But don't worry. I'm sure you don't do anything that could possibly harm yourself, others, or the environment like drink alcohol, have sex, drive a car, fly in an airplane, etc. _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard
  20. heh... last time I got a flu shot was in basic training. I don't know if it was the oversized flu shot or the other countless injections we got but we were all horribly sick. just to make it more fun we had PT tests the next day. and even BETTER was they were doing controlled fires in the woods, so the air was so thick with smoke you couldn't see 5 feet in front of you. for whatever ever reason I have resisted getting shots since then... _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

  22. if it is trying to install itself on boot up, then it wouldn't show up in the add/remove list... it might be in the startup list. go to start -> run -> type in msconfig -> click startup tab and see if you see anything that looks like it in there i can't imagine why an install executable would be in there... but you never know _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard

  24. I was at a counseling seminar speaking with a former clinical psychologist now neural scientist about anti-depressants. I can't remember the drugs name off the top of my head but unlike the other drugs this one would cause weight loss. A patient came in and wanted to consult him about this drug. He informed her that aside from weight loss it also caused mental dulling. Her response was "Well.. If I look good, and feel good, what does it matter if im stupid?" _________________________________________ "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid." - Kierkegaard
