Looks like a return to "Burn after reading" kinda screwball-ness, with added period glamour and Hollywood-on-Hollywood satire (which is always fun) thrown in. I'm sold!

So you do know the difference between murder and violent crime? Then why were you being so dishonest in your last reply? And do those years tally with the correlation I gave in my last post? No they do not. So what are you trying to prove with your irrelevant numbers and your dishonest argument? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Now you are just making stuff up. You can simply look at the crime tables on the link I provided to the FBI UCR and you will see that violent crime... Do you know what the word homicide means? I assume that you do, so my next question is why are you intent on carrying on this discussion in such a dishonest manner? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

A license finally. Best use of next jumps?

Yeah but really, how many jumps do you need to do to learn how to make a couple of 90 degree turns? The beginner wingsuit flight plan isn't exactly rocket science! Do you want to have an ideagasm? -
So? You can't change what people did a long time ago. You can try and change what's happening now. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

More coaching is pretty much always more better. Even if it's not on something that will directly relate to your wingsuiting later on it will still get you used to the process of properly evaluating your performance, learning how to do better and implementing that knowledge. Also, if you're a better skydiver in 200 jumps time you'll make a better wingsuiter. Solo tracking jumps, it really won't take that many to get all the use out of them that you can. After all, you should be learning to track like a mofo at the end of every RW or FF skydive anyway. Big tracking jumps. These are fun, but unfortunately at most DZs they are also loosely organised zoo dives that are, again, of very limited learning value. If you're lucky enough to be at a DZ that has some top quality freeflyers doing well organised, dynamic multi-angle dives then that's a different story - but comes back to the coaching point again! My personal recommendation - try and get good at freeflying. Dynamic freestyle wingsuiting is the best thing happening in the discipline right now and there are a lot of similarities. And get canopy coaching. That's just always a good idea. Do you want to have an ideagasm? -
That lack of response seems specific to me - tell them you don't know what year your ProTrack is, and they ignore you. Does anyone know why? Do they think you are an idiot or something if you don't know "what year your ProTrack is"? Or do they think it is "used" and not under warranty if you don't know? Could be an interesting experiment - start a brand new email conversation with them from a different addy and when the ask what year its from just make up something that's probably about right and see what happens! :p Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Because Britain isn't part of the world? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

I could, but I didn't and I haven't, so once again I wonder why you're making these silly comments? Not sure if it counts as misinterpretation, but it certainly has only a tenuous link to your invented hypothetical scenario. Actually there's a far stronger correlation to be made from those numbers. First, from 2004 to 2007 homicides went up. So if guns are the reason for less crime then there's a serious lag. Second, from 1994 to 2000, homicides went down (a lot). From 2001 to 2007 homicides went up. From 2008 to 2013 homicides went back down. So if you want fewer murders, vote Democrat But seriously though, the US is already saturated with guns, and 'gun control' covers far more than trying to reduce numbers of firearms. I bet all the guys who shot themselves while giving gun safety classes were/are pretty comfortable with guns too. How many of them did you ever hear of getting hit by space rock? If you accidentally shoot yourself - Darwinism. If you are struck down by a space rock - there really is a mythical wizard floating in the clouds, and he hates you. Oh hey look, jbscout dodges the point. I'm shocked I tell you. Shocked and amazed Do you want to have an ideagasm?

And yet they are. The interpretation's better too. So the numbers involved in your knife / baseball bat claim were...? No, but why would I? It's obviously not true and I never claimed it. Of course not. Why are you asking such silly questions? You believe gun control is ineffective because you invented a hypothetical scenario that shows one part of gun control to be ineffective? Not necessarily. For instance, in the UK the percentage of homicides involving firearms is around 5%. In the US it's around 65%. Even allowing for your far greater bloodlust it's likely that a significant portion of that 65% wouldn't have occured if it wasn't so damned easy. (BTW, do you just not care when you're shown to be wrong on any factual point, or is it just a tactic to skip from one argument to the next, or what?) Do you want to have an ideagasm?

You're twisted in knots. People in Europe (even including what was behind the iron curtain) are much less likely to kill each other with guns than people in the USA. They are more likely to kill people with knives and baseball bats Are they? Because if I take the USA's non-firearm murder rate and compare it to the entire murder rate of, say, the UK or Italy or Germany the USA's rate is still at least 60% higher. Go 'Merca

Greenland and Russia are in Europe? Huh. Aside from that, did you notice that all the countries you picked in that list are either fucked up ex-Warsaw Pact countries or fucked up ex-USSR countries? But hey, if that's who you think the USA's natural equivalents are... Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Some people, but very few who are on english speaking forums, I'd expect. I believe Graham Dickinson was flying one for a while this summer, you could message him about it? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

But, oddly, they have no visible gun culture. The only time you're aware of armed Swiss are when they're doing their army reserve marksmanship re-qualification and you can hear the shots from the local open air range, or in hunting season when there are suddenly guys in full camo with scoped rifles slung over their shoulder in the cable cars. Sooo, you think the fact that currently all drug dealers are unlicensed, unregulated criminals makes it harder for kids to buy drugs? Interesting theory Do you want to have an ideagasm?
-
So? Comes down to personal responsibility. In our countries every tobacco user is aware of the risks and consequences. The right of the smoker to smoke wherever s/he wants has been curtailed hwever, to protect the non-smoker who didn't choose to accept those risks. (As an aside though, given how they behave in other countries without such legal protections tobacco companies are still agents of pure evil.) Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Yeah, but people like drugs a lot more than they like guns. And the people that get killed by drugs usually chose to take those drugs. And oftentimes the reason they died was because of the wildly varying quality of drugs produced, by neccessity, by amateur, unqualified criminals. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Good point. Lets get rid of all laws then, because clearly none of them work. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
-
Ok. The police have a name. From a criminal. Now what? They have to prove that the name given to them, by a criminal, sold the firearm without a background check. Good luck with that. The law is un-enforceable. Seems to be enforceable enough when it comes to drugs. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
