    Asked repeatedly to a guy who clearly wasn't paying attention and who repeatedly gave an answer on a different subject. Sure, it's be nice if he now came out and said "of course I don't agree with that, it's a stupid suggestion" and he probably won't (at least until after the primaries) because he knows that some of the morons he's sucking up to do agree with it... but even so it's seriously not the right stick to hit him with.     No he doesn't. He never says mosque, only the reporter does. Trump is clearly not paying attention to the guy, he's being asked about one subject and answering about another. Next sentences Reporter: "Would they legally have to be in these databases?" Trump: "They have to, they have to, let me tell you - the key is they can come to this country but they have to do it legally." He is 100% talking about a completely different subject. Come on, it's not as if he doesn't say enough ludicrous shit on his own that you need to put words in his mouth about this. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

    No, sorry, he didn't. This is one occasion where the mass media is deliberately misinterpreting him in search of a 'gotcha' headline. The reporter asked Trump about a Muslim database and he replied with a non-commital "There should be a lot of systems..." but then moved onto say "But right now we have to have a border, we have to have strength, we have to have a wall" So when the reporter asks him if he'd do it and he says "Oh I would certainly implement that. Absolutely... It would stop people coming in illegally" then he is clearly and obviously talking about border control, not a muslim database. NBC should be ashamed of themselves, NYT should be ashamed of themselves. Gutter journalism Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Dude, if it gets to the point that the terrorists have run so far through the list of important targets that they've reached a church in a random small town in the backwoods of Georgia then we'd be living in a very different world already.     While you may think it's impossible for you to care one iota about the human suffering of innocent Syrians while also caring about domestic issues I assure you it's not. I know this level of empathy is an alien concept for you Ron but if you try really, really hard you can care at least a tiny bit about humans who aren't exactly like you as well as those who are.     Please drop your "Christian" card. I would like to sneak into Switzerland because it appears to be safer. Where is the best place to cross the border? Everywhere. If you got into a neighbouring country you can freely get into Switzerland. Unless you look particularly suspicious the only thing they'll check is that you've paid for your motorway sticker. I bet 70 years ago there were plenty of crusty old guys bitching about how the soft kids these days can only drive cars and no-one knows how to hitch a horse to a carriage anymore.     How do you know? Were you around to notice the differences betwen previous generations and compare them to the current ones? If not how do you know whether your perception is accurate or if you're just getting grumpier in your old age? The thing about these arguments are that they don't recognise that the world is constantly changing, and therefore things that are useful to know change too. Why should someone learn to drive a stick if all they'll ever drive are automatics? Why should people still know how to do an oil change when modern engines can run for huge distances without one compared to models from a few decades ago? It's no more valid than saying older generations were less intelligent because granddad can't/won't learn to use the internet. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
