My thoughts... Done about 500 jumps on my 135 EXE and would agree with those who say that getting back from naff spots can be a problem. That apart I love it, nice to pack, reasonable openings, nice flare and good all round canopy for the price! Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things!

Like everyone else said... you're not going to get rich but you can have a blast!!

Newly rated AFFI - how long before you did a single JM AFF dive?
altichick replied to altichick's topic in Instructors
Just wondering what people thoughts and experiences are... How long / how many jumps after getting your AFF rating was it before you did level 4 and above (single JM) dives? Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things! -
BSR proposal take 5 (or, the details of mine)
altichick replied to billvon's topic in Safety and Training
Over all I like what you are suggesting but it assumes that someone has the physical strength to fly front risers which not all jumpers do. With a system like this some of us may never get our C/D license Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things! -
What did you give up for skydiving
altichick replied to grlsgotalot2lrn's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Job, House, Relationship, Financial security... but the past 12 months have been totally worth it... and besides I have a really nice tent now Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things! -
Where can I find a roll cage for HC40?
altichick replied to altichick's topic in Photography and Video
*Think* I'm probably going to go for the bonehead box. Just one... hmmm... make that two... more questions... Is there enough room to fit a cameye? Can someone explain how the box is mounted to the top of the helmet and do you still use a screw to hold the camera in place or is the foam enough? What a great weekend!!

There were 30+ travelling together from the UK to the Kenya boogie last October... Kenya Airways still provides free drinks on the plane...

Where can I find a roll cage for HC40?
altichick replied to altichick's topic in Photography and Video
Anyone know if such a thing exists? I'm looking to top mount my HC40 and would like to be able to access all the parts without having to take it off each time. Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things! -
help identify name of tandem master-kenya

Recognise the suit but don't know his name. Was it from the November boogie? Have you tried asking Harro? Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things! -

How many jumps do you make a year?
altichick replied to bkoch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Around 80-100 a year for the first 3 years I was jumping (UK!) and around 400 in the past 10 months... :) .....cost me my house to do it ... but I think it was a fair swap -
I went last year. It was great - $10 jumps, nice aircraft, plenty of vodka and a very friendly DZ! ...And if the rumours of proper bathrooms and hot water are true this year will be even better! Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things!

Has any TM ever taken a paraplegic on a tandem before?
altichick replied to TALONSKY's topic in Instructors
I've seen a TI do a jump with a paraplegic, after talking to the passenger they decided to strap the passengers legs to the TI's legs so he could control him in freefall and, I think, they fastened the passengers arms across his chest. Worked well but the TI was a very experienced TI. Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things! -
I would have been on it but it clashed with my naked way!! Next time!! Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things!

I sold my house at the begining of this year to do something similar ...and sure the cash is running out now and the thought of going back to 'real life' sucks... but would I change my mind if I could do it again???... No Way!! I've had the best year ever, met great people, seen some fantastic places and improved my skydiving into the deal! I say go for it! Like previous posts have said... do some more jumps first, don't leave yourselves with nothing to go back to... and prepare for a great time!

As the UK weather sucks I'm arriving a little bit earlier than most (one of the benefits of not having a job!) but if anyone can offer a ride... 18:48 Tue Dec 14th Terminal 3, Sky Harbor Int'l (PHX), Phoenix, USA Delta Air Lines (DL 1629) See you all there! Not yet but I did jump with the PINK in Czech this year and have only nice things to say about them

Why not see if any UK AFF instructors are going abroad at that time of year? Many UK instructors take groups of students to Spain, France or the states to do AFF. It means you'll avoid turning up at an unfamiliar DZ alone & you'll have a ready made group of fellow students to party with Added bonus... When you get back to the UK you can avoid having to repeat levels / do check out dives if your AFF instructor already knows you. Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things!

I know I should have used my time a bit more 'productively' whilst I was out there ... but I was having too much fun jumping and enjoying the sun! Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things!

Hi, Can anyone tell me if the items on the proficiency card for the USPA coach course (teaching/asisting first jump courses) need to be comleted at a USPA DZ or could they be done (for example) in the UK prior to attending a USPA course? Thanks Sal Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things!

I'll second that vote for the Kenya boogie - awesome trip! And I'll be there again in just 8 days!! Other (non-beach) DZ/boogies with stunning scenery are Alaska and MOAB - both of these rocked!!
