Ok , that came out sounding like shit..My bad. I was taught that toggles turn faster,if you can grab them..as fast and every time. well thats where we differ........... I am a firm believer in looking at object #'s, type of objects, range of heights, range of configuration.......... on your theory then would you say someone with 1000 off the 486 span be a better advisor than someone with 250 jumps, 70 different objects, many objects opened, nice spilt between SU / SD, terminal / sub-terminal, ???? just curious thats all........my point is that jump numbers are certainly not (too me) a be all and end all in the guage of experience............. just my bust up sitting on my arse worth...... I don't know shit!!! I have 18 jumps...But I'm still alive How many do you have? I am a firm believer in looking at jump #'s! over 1000...still alive? You must be doing something right. do what works for u. Johnny taught me, go for risers..Not my thing I'll hit my toggles,it's what works for me, We'll see... That's pretty much what it looked like to me. I saw one of the injuries for sure, stretcher is on its way, then someone else gets sick of waiting on the bridge, jumps turns into the wind and starts flying backwards they pounded in hard too. a couple people helping the other guy go running over to help him.You hear Don over the radio- "Maby people should stop jumping right now, they're dropping like flys" I think someone went in right before those two also. From the location it's doubtfull...if someone cut through the fence they could easily move the wire as it's only ziptied in place.. ??? this is driving me a little batty. Before I took the course I thought 2 or 3 would be better than 6 But I NOW think 6 was great! Like Omar said we got to learn from each other it was a 24 hour class. After a few El Hefe margaritas at Cafe Ole a question would cross my mind and Johnny would have a good answer. When we did the classroom stuff there were 6 people asking questions,I learned stuff I hadn't thought to ask. Everyone got their tailgates,brakes,lines,and closing checked untill we got it down. Everyone got a gearcheck,where we geared up,and at the exit point,EVERY jump. And even though we waited for everyone to finish packing,I got in 18 jumps! good times!
