  2. Once again, an assupmtion has been made. I said reps. I didn't say alti's reps or any particular manufacturer's reps. ...and not all reps are discuraged from trying to make a sale. As a matter of fact the whole idea is to push the product so that the person who is buying will go to the dealer and get one, and not the competitions. What ever the product is. I know because I represent a manufacturer. I also know of an instance that when someone asked about two different products in a forum, they got a bunch of private messages saying that they could help questions and such and in the forum a little bit too. Not that I care to have these debates, but have I proved my point well enough yet? I think the dead horse is out of feeling now. Wow, I didn't know there was a point to prove or that I had made any assumptions. I was just helping to provide information on the forums, just like you were trying to do with your original post. Of course there is one difference, the information I provided was correct.
  3. When looking at the Stolen Gear listing there is an option Full List that I assume is supposed to present everything that is in the Stolen Gear database. However when clicking on this something less than the full list is displayed. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  4. Check out the information on Alti-2's web site regarding their Field Support Reps. http://www.alti-2.com/Altimaster_support.htm "Altimaster Field Support participants are discouraged from selling Altimaster products, this program is intended to support our existing dealers." I will admit to being a fan of their products. I have a Neptune in my helmet, a Galaxy on my wrist and my original 28 year old Altimaster II on my chest strap. 5. A Brief History of Celibacy in the Catholic Church http://www.futurechurch.org/fpm/history.htm -- Fourteenth Century Bishop Pelagio complains that women are still ordained and hearing confessions. Fifteenth Century Transition; 50% of priests are married and accepted by the people. Sixteenth Century 1545-63-Council of Trent states that celibacy and virginity are superior to marriage. 7. I've used policies from TIC to cover jumping while traveling to the US from Canada. It was $2 CDN per day with a minimum $15. http://www.cooperators.ca/goapp/TIC/travel_contact.jsp "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  8. - Thought/worried too much... - Over analyzed what I was told... - Tried to interpret what the instructor told me rather than take it at face value. Listen to your instructor - do what he says - don't try to second guess him. Its all good - they don't make bad skydives!
  9. Don't worry about me, I'm fine with my beliefs and at 50 I'm not worried about convincing anyone. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  10. My point exactly! Any religion worth its weight must have credible evidence to back it up. That’s one big difference between Christianity and other religions. That’s not to say there isn’t an element of faith. There is. But it’s not “blind faith.” This is where you loose me - I think it is blind faith becuase it is based on a work of fiction. 11. Interesting - made me go look up the rate for Canada "In 2000, Canada imprisoned its population at a rate of 118 per 100,000" the only data I could find. And to think Canada is right next door to the USA. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  12. Start with the story of creation, move to the flood story, keep going to the resurrection story. Some may believe that these are true accounts of what really happened but I do not. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  13. Back to the argument of evidence. We really need to stay away from fairytale arguments and ground our discussion in reality. Sorry but I believe that the Bible is a work of fiction and that any arguments based on it hold the same amount of weight as fairy tales. You like your stories, I like mine. Just because you don't like mine doesn't mean you should dismiss them. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  14. Yes. Just because you don't believe in God does not mean that he does not exist and that his rules don't apply. Same goes for the Tooth Fairy
  15. ARGUMENT FROM BLINDNESS (II) (1) God is love. (2) Love is blind. (3) Stevie Wonder is blind. (4) Therefore, Stevie Wonder is God. (5) Therefore, God exists. Well that was informative -not
  16. Not when it concerns the taking of his name in vain which I liken to much of this post or the breaking of any of the other 10 Commandments. Help me understand how his name was taken in vain in this thread. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  17. Are you suggesting that God doesn't have a sense of humor? If man was made in God's image and man has a sense of humor, then it is quite possible that God also has a sense of humor. In that case it may be you that is out voted by God. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  18. I think you're out voted - I think it was funny too!
  19. I find this statement rather suspect. You'll have to explain your reasoning on this one. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  20. God may have given it to Abraham but God did not give it to the Jews because Abraham was not a Jew. http://bibletools.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/Library.showResource/CT/BQA/k/139 "Was Abraham a Jew? No, he was not. The word "Jew," a nickname for the Israelite tribe of Judah, originated in the thirteenth century. It is first used in the Bible to identify the "men of Judah" in II Kings 16:6 (King James Version), a thousand years after the time of Abraham. The tribe of Judah descended, as the name indicates, from the man named Judah, one of the twelve sons of the patriarch Jacob (Genesis 35:23). Jacob was a son of Isaac (Genesis 25:26), and Isaac, in turn, was a son of Abraham (Genesis 21:3). We can see, then, that Judah, the progenitor of the Jews, was a great-grandson of Abraham. Thus, Abraham was not a Jew, but an ancestor of the Jews. Abraham is properly referred to as a "Hebrew," a descendent of Eber, a great-great-grandson of Noah (Genesis 11:10-26)." 21. Sorry but it wasn't God at the end of WWII that gave them that land. If God had wanted to make up for the atrocities of WWII maybe the Jews would have gotten someplace where the neighbors didn't hate them, like Florida.
  22. There's lots of room in Florida, Land Area - 54,252 Square Miles compared to Israel which is only about 10,000 Square Miles and it would end the on going strife! This is a good idea people! Get on-board with it! Move Israel to Florida! "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  23. I've said for a long time that they should have gotten Florida. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
  24. Don't be surprised if they recommend making new handles rather than getting done to your old ones. The up side is your equipment is still usable while new handles are getting made. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
