Yeah, it's great not having to wade through a kajillion worthless, repetitive threads. Now you have all of those threads in one forum. Good. Let the same half dozen people post their "I'm right you're wrong" posts on every thread. I was skimming through a few last night and laugh at how everyone ends up the same...Republicans/Democrats are always right and Republicans/Democrats are always wrong. Funny shit. What you fail to grasp, John, is that this is not a democracy. It's not a court of law where you can whine about free speech, etc... The religeous, political and gun control threads got old real fast. There's nothing wrong with debating them, but the problem lies in almost no one on those threads knew how to politely debate them. They turned into personal attacks, insults and bashing threads. Did we really need 83,015 of those a day? Hardly. Not to mention you were the one that started the majority of those. Why? Completely useless. The interesting fact is I've spoken with 2 seperate people who have met you in real life, one of whom is a friend of yours. Both said that never talk about these issues in real life. Not once have you discussed these in repetition as you do on the site. So I ask you, why the split personality? Is it because you don't have the nerve to talk about them in real life so you do it from the safety and comfort of your computer? I have my own opinions as to why but I'll keep those to myself. In conclusion, there's no need for those threads over and over and over and over again...all with the same results. Let's all show some common sense. I have to ask this question. Who freakin cares about anyone's status, number of posts, popularity, etc... It's all trivial at best. What is the point of all of this. You guys are taking a website that was fun and educational and turning into something far less with these ideas. Like I said before. Be skeptical of everyone, don't trust info from one person over another just because their status or post numbers are rated higher and most of all...and I do mean most of all, use your freakin head. Use the noggin for instinct and intuition and quit relying on worthless info like post numbers, status, Snopes, gypsies and palm readers. You have a brain for a reason. Use it. Forty-two

Rating other posters is useless and a horrible idea. This is a website to learn and have fun, not a popularity contest. There would be many users who would rate others poorly simply because they didn't like them. Besides, anyone who holds one user's opinion heavier than one whose rating is not so high is a complete dumbass. Whatever happened to common sense and intuition? Politics, religeon, sex and gun control are definitly useful, but in moderation. Unfortunatly, you have about 3-5 posters (you know who they are) who are forever copying and pasting links to controversial threads simply for the extremely sick satisfaction of watching people argue. That is one of the reasons Talk Back was removed. Hell, I would probably even participate in those threads if it wasn't for the fact that they weren't even discussion or debate threads, they were threads designed to anger people and cause chaos. Those people truly have no lives and need some friends real bad. What was that saying someone started using a week ago? Computer + Anonymous + Audience = ..... I myself posted a few threads that were not entirely useful, some downright stupid. However, I never started a thread for the sole purpose of enciting an argument or angering people. That is completely uncalled for and is in no small part due to the reason Talk Back is no more. Suggestion, then I'll put this baby to bed. Start three seperate threads. One for politics, religeon and gun control. Don't make them sticky's, just have those three in talk back somewhere. All relevant posts go there. If someone starts a political-based thread, move it to the "politics" thread. This is exactly like my "Football" thread. It would have been stupid for me to start a new thread everytime something football related happened. So, instead of doing so, I created one thread. Everyone that had anything football related posted it there. It worked great. I know of many people who checked that out daily, looking for breaking news. The same should have and can still be done for Talk Back. But regardless, thanks for whoever designed and started this site. It truly is a wonderful one. Props. Peace. Forty-two

Take a look at how many threads we have of dz.commers (no need to name names, you know who you are) who give us the boo-hoo post of, "I'm never posting again, this is it, this time I mean it, I'm never coming here to post again." Then the next day they're back. So pardon me if I don't break out the hanky and stream tears as I run beside your train, waving to you as the orchestra music begins playing on cue. Maybe I'm just old school. Never was one for attention and sympathy, never need vibes and if I decided I was going to retire from the sport or quit posting on this site...I would just do it.
