  1. It seems you have an agenda?
  2. Gotcha. Sorry for assuming otherwise. It just looked to me in the video that you balled up the reserve and held it in your arms. that was an AWESOME job keeping heads up and thinking it through on the spot. -SPACE-
  3. Not anymore : http://vimeo.com/14294221 been doin that for years (-infinity) (note the "essentially". )
  4. I wish it had been Sagan vs Hawking. cool though. -SPACE-
  5. He did not cutaway the reserve. The reserve was a BOS and he pulled it back in after the main was open. This is exactly what we do in Paragliding rescue parachute rides, (as essentially all PG harnesses do not have cutaways). -SPACE-
  6. I have definitely flown a 206 above 17999'. If there is no one else in the back of the plane, not a big deal. I have intentionally stalled a plane with my friend hanging on the strut. contrary to a lot of ignorant belief out there, stall does not normally equal spin and death. A stall in a C is not the same as a stall or V-mca stall in a kingair.
  7. The absolute best is when they bring another girl. BUT a lot of girls either don't like to share or don't like MDMA so the next best thing is a girl who knows how to ask for what she wants. And of course, as long as she gets off, how she finishes me up is a real quality.
  8. Front page news. http://www.dailycamera.com/ci_17721077?source=most_emailed -SPACE-
  9. I have about 10 jumps from one and have flown probably 40 loads from one. Also I have used one as a camera platform on a ton of occasions. Don't snag your PC (or any handles if you are using that dangerous skydive gear). climb rates vary a LOT. anywhere from 50'/min to well over 2000'/min. depends on how fat you and pilot are, the motor, prop, temp, etc. If your shit comes out before you exit (you are pretty much always "on the step") you will kill yourself and the pilot. BRS parachutes are heavy, but worth it. A good pilot can beat a jumper down from 2000'. all without breaking a VNE and an unaccelerated dive. (idle @ 72mph[VNE] decent angle can reach 60 degrees) Add a 3g turn and it is near vertical. dont crash it.
  10. Do you think they don't? Don't even think about it. No, they (zero and infinity) ABSOLUTELY do -NOT- fall into mythology, they are PRECISE values in science and mathematics.
  11. AND tell the pilot. so he does not hit you on decent and he may even give you a flyby if you ask.
  12. No experience needed. Just don't crash into eachother and pay attention to where you are in altitude and relative to airport. All of my crossed braced jumps are high (3000m+) pulls, multi way. -SPACE-
  13. I think you are trying to point out that a few people or groups were able to make scientific advances despite their religious beliefs.
  14. I like how this makes it seem that some new evidence will someday be brought to the table. I am ok with using christianity as the punching bag. It makes up the largest portion of theists on earth and most other monotheistic beliefs are just a few degrees off. Bottom line: RELIGION (mostly christianity) is the main and arguably only reason the human race is THOUSANDS of years behind in technology and knowledge. Anyone organizing beliefs into groups, even good ones, is nothing more than an enabler for the bad ones. Apologists being the worst.
  15. Nonsense - that's just lax interpretive propaganda pushed by apologists. My thoughts exactly.
  16. The new mostly under control Evergreen one is scary! that is around where I grew up. The ranch was gonna burn!
  17. My mom chose that song as my song for high school graduation. It was the first time I had ever heard it. TERRIBLE. from a bunch of drugged out hippies fifty years ago. FTS
  18. Disagree. A single well made katana would most likely be the best bet. (as opposed to two katanas or any other sword) Two blades does not significantly increase the effective radius, and it decreases the accuracy as well as the force behind the blade.
  19. The new fires last week almost put me back in airplane jail. They had that TFR up fast. Almost like they had done it before -SPACE-
  20. FALCOR sold, to the highest bidder
  21. I do contract work for GRI, (gravity research institute). I specialize in non-rhythmic aerodynamics opposition.
  22. They are easy to get on and OFF, they breath/vent so the snooch stays un-swampy. It's better than the girls that do not run. Cyclist hotties wear the tight ass shammies that flaunt the most important parts, I prefer those. But they can't be too committed to riding, the hard core ones have the kegel power to pinch it clean off.
  23. Wear ear protection. It gets loud in the nacelle.
