  1. I think a few jumps on a GTI are good for anyone before trying out the S3 Kris..
  2. The stance is about the same as the SF3 but the leg wing area is smaller on the S-Fly. Pics attached, but are not very clear. Kris.
  3. I was hoping to fly with Loic in Deland during the bigway attempts. Now it looks like he is in Eloy. Yes the magnet clips are cool. Kris.
  4. The material is stiffer and thicker and has a plastic like feel and yet it is made of nylon. I will try and get a pic of the inside of the leg wing, the ribs are made of what looks like the ZP nylon used on canopies. This may show the difference in texture. The weather here is not jumpable so I have to wait for the weekend. Kris.
  5. I know what "ZP" means. The ZP material that the S-Fly is made of seems like it is more sturdy than every other type of ZP material that I have come across. U happy now?
  6. I received the S-Fly after struggling with customs and paying $200 to customs. That makes the total suit cost $1050.00. I will try to post pictures later this evening. All S-Fly suits are twin color designs, one color for the front , one color for the back. The model I purchased is the ProRace(Orange front, Gray Back). The suit ships in a bag that is the same color as the suit. The bag is made of very sturdy Nylon type material. The suit is also made of a material that is much more sturdy than ZP. The orange in this model looks like the orange on a new windsock(kinda pink) so my recommendation is to stick with one of the other models. It seems like the suit has less arm wing than the SF3 but the leg wing seems like it is the same size. I will fly it this weekend and should be able to post some numbers and comparision it to the SF3/GTI.
  7. Did one at SDC a month or so ago. Very cool after I figured out where the DZ was . Kris.
  8. Very nice. Congratulations!! The suit looks like it fits perfect. Even if you want to get a bigger suit later on, it is great to have a suit that you can jump whenever you want to. Kris.
  9. My copy has not shipped but I also ordered "Those Magnificent Men in Their in their flying machines" and that one shipped. I saw this movie when it aired on Indian TV when I was in High School. I know it is about airplanes and I remember liking the movie. I'll have to see what I think of it now. Kris.
  10. Good luck!! The matter suit is very stable. With your experience you should have no problems. Just a whole lot of fun!! Kris.
  11. You mean you are going to get wrongway fired? Kris.
  12. I am thinking thursday so that I can start early on friday morning. Kris.
  13. Yep, there's no benefit in having a floating and almost stalled flight in WS base. Go for glide angle and forward speed, the sufficient time will then come for free :) Vesa Initially when I would get 54 mph averages(my best on a classic) on the classic, I was doing near stall flights(unstable wobbly). As I got more jumps on it I was getting the same average mphs with smooth flight. All of my best times on the GTI have been smooth flights. The other way of flying is not fun. Kris.
  14. I will try to make it there with my New S-Fly
  15. Nope actually it is on my hand. Yeah it is getting old. I went out and joined a tracking group in my S3 last weekend. Exited first and travelled in the direction of flight, until I caught up to the tracking group and then collapsed my wings(about 2 secs 2 late, so was above the flock and could not get down despite trying till breakoff) and tracked. That was kinda fun actually. I will still track time until I can do the 3 min flight but I am capping half of my S3 flights at less than 90 secs(from 13500 to 4k). Otherwise I will have trouble on flocks. Kris.
  16. Attached are the screenshots of a jump(Wingsuit) profile from my paralog. Nep1.jpg ---------------------------------- As you can see the logger says(This is exactly what the neptune says). Exit : 13400 Deploy : 3200 Delay : 136 secs Nep2.jpg ---------------------------------- The cursor is at 15 secs before the log shows that the jump started. Altitude: 13303 V Speed : 26 mph(2300 ft/min). Nep21.jpg ------------------------------------ This is when the logger(or neptune) starts counting flight time. Altitude: 12768 V Speed: 38 mph Nep5.jpg ------------------------------------- Deployment complete. Altitude: 3192 ft. It seems like the neptune reads the exit altitude and the deployment altitude correctly. But does not start logging flighttime until about 38 mph speed is reached. I have seen other jumps where the delay between exit altitude and time logging altitude is not as bad. This could be because of the exit technique. On the GTI, I used to jump with all wings closed get horizontal ASAP and open up all wings, On some jumps I would fly on level with the descending plane for quite a while. Has anyone else observed this? I always have the latest version of the Neptune software on my unit. Another thing to note is that Wingsuit pilots should probably not make a wingsuit jump with the swoop mode alarm active because... From the neptune website.... I have seen Canopy mode on my Neptune during freefall on several jumps.
  17. True, I bore the heck out of her every weekend. Kris.
  18. And "silly point", not to mention "short square leg". And "fine leg"
  19. Yeah you can. I saw images(of protrack logs) on Kevin's website. But a Neptune is a better choice if you jump at a DZ that has a turbine and you are flying for distance or time. Because you will be in the over two minutes of flight time territory very soon. Kris.
  20. I talked to Robert at BD and he said they are delayed, he did not specify a date. I was not at the seminar, but someone told me that Robert said he plans on taking orders by Nov 1st. Guess what though, I will place my order before you do
  21. How often are you having to use the hook knife snap for it to brake? Ed Everyday I jump. I do not store the hookknife in the pocket. That is not the point. The snaps are on one or two layer(s) of ZP. That without reinforcement is not strong enough for long use. Kris.
  22. I must be one also. I have NEVER had any type of problem....
  23. I hate you. The weather in ann arbor sucks. Welcome to the new birds!! Kris
