WTF? I have been attending WFFC forever, and I have never gotten a keychain. All I get is a lousy hat and jacket I've never gotten a lousy hat. I do get some nice plastic cups. That woman shouldn't be allowed to drive golf carts. Someone should get an ankle braclet for both her and Sunny - any time they get near the drivers seat - it shocks the hell out of them. Be on the lookout again this year for me - I have my own camera this time FYI - I went to my first Quincy/WFFC when I had one jump and didn't know ANYONE! I saw my first dozen low hooks and a few femurs....I did my second tandem, I met new people every day and night and found someone new to party with each night. On top of that, I went to all of the seminars, purchased a few skydiving books and read them during the day. I still have my keychain from that very first WFFC. Can you believe that with all the time I have spent in Florida I have never had a chance to go to the mouse house or Universal/IOA? I've been in the parking lots and at Downtown Disney...but never been in the parks (IOA looks cool from that bridge by the tunnel). Have enough fun for me!!!!! My roommate downstairs brought home a cat last night. Turns out his ex-girlfriend moved to a new apartment and can't have the cat there, and he doesn't want it in the shelter (they are all full in the area) because he knows they will put her down quick. It only took 15 minutes of me sitting on the floor before she came up to me, sat in my lap and demanded to be pet. So, meet Chloe. Oh yea, she is two and showed us she didn't like to be left locked in the kitchen by herself the first night. She strolled into the frontroom while we were watching tv, looked up at us and took off back into the kitchen! Now she has been hiding under my roommates bed for hours on end and won't come out. Well, a lot has changed for me...and now I will be able to go. I'm still trying to figure out vaction time, money, etc..plus I will be going to Summerfest as well. I'll let you know my dates soon. Wonder when the best time to take my week of vacation will be? See ya'll there. Yup, Skydive Chicago has just about all of that except the being in the South part. Our own pond, beach and river launch for canoe trips. HUGE VIP SkyBar with raised deck that over looks the landing area, onsite Chef with dinners in the SkyBar or the TikiHut that overlooks the pond. Heated showerhouse. On site gear store, master rigger, DPRE and full rigging testing. 4 mock ups in case you want to dirt dive a multiplane shot. Workout room, multiple teamrooms with video station and larger team room with its own big screen. Office space for rent if you want to move your job there. Covered waiting area on the ramp with benches. Kick ass manifest setup run by some of the coolest women. Huge bonfire pit (attached), and plenty of quiet, intimate places for your own bonfire if you so like. Outs? Not a problem (see attached, dz is just off screen at the bottom, but you can see the outs to the west)) We dirt dived a 300 way in our hanger, and I watched seven 4 way teams creeper it out during nationals at the same time. We have a massage house and three onsite massage therapists. Xbox? Well, it's not in the hanger, but there are a few in the trailer park with close to 200 slots in it. Or you could bring one and attach it to the 3 big screen tvs we have. Or maybe you can convince them to put it on the climate controled auditorium projection screen (has to be at least 40 feet tall) and sit in the reclining theatre seats. We have off road trails for bikes, horses and yes even off road golf carts! If you like the place enough you can buy a slot of land and build a house on the dz! Or you can bring a trailer, rent a place in the bunkhouse, or rent out one of the apartments they have. Or you can just tent it, we have plenty of grass with soft dirt to easily stake up camp site. You forgot to add: private airport (no hassle with FBO) and personal fueling truck. I've been to 22 other DZs and nothing else matches.
