My Mirage G3 looks like crap after the service bulletin?
Supergeil replied to Supergeil's topic in Gear and Rigging
So a G3 is still able to look fine after the bulletin thats nice to know. Maybe my rigger haven't done the modification the same way? Are there several ways to do it? -

Yours and Icon's are both G4 I don't think it's quite the same flaps. The bulletin should be easier to do on the G4! -

Nice to now that my rig isn't the only one! I live in Denmark so I don't now about the FAA rules, will check it tomorrow. But if I can jump it like it used to be I would highly prefer that. -

Is it just on my rig or are there others, whit a big gap between the flaps? It looks like shit! And is far from the perfect MIRAGE picture I have in my mind. Did they do that service bulletin, with their head under the arm and not thinking it the all way trough? -
That reserve pack looks sloppy to me! But we all have our own opinion...looks like a lot of fabric is lose on the reserve.
-
I got an Mt with a PD 126. I now a lot who got Techno's and they pack VERY small. I am sure mine could hold a Techno 140
-
PD. No doubt.

I just bin on the Brian Germain seminar and that was awesome. He has also written a book " The Parachute and its Pilot" on the topic and it's very good you can buy it on http://www.bigairsportz.com

Look at the camera forum.... I have uploaded some pictures of my FF2 a while ago nice helmet btw

What about getting a demo from both companies test jump them and then make your decision. I have no doubt i got a PD
-
That right but who would pay more for a Techno than a PD......no one I know.
-
When it comes to reserves I think it's a matter of taste and trust and maybe a little what the other got on your dropzone. I am sure that those companies that make good mains are better of to make a good reserve they can use the skills and experiences from the mains into the reserves...fast and predictable/reliable openings. There are not much new development on the reserves today they are all reliable so the choice of what reserve you buy must be a mix of what you trust in and influence/trust from friends and influence/trust to the company you are going to bye the reserve from.

Thank you very much for the fine answer! Keep up the good work and the prices on a acceptable level.Competition isn't bad.

One question pops up in my mind...why are Aerodyne cheaper than most of the others parachute companies in USA?
-
The Techno packs a little smaler because of the direct line attachment. You can't load it so high as the PD so if you are a heavy jumper the Pd is a better choice. And if you live in USA the techno is going to be much more expencive than the PD. I think the reason why the Techno is so popular in Eroupe is that the $ have bin high for some time but now whit the cheap $ I think people will go for what they like and not the cheapest. I live in Eroupe and my reserve is a PD why buy a reserve from a company which main parachute you never would buy ..go for the best it's you last chance when you go for metal.

I got a Sabre2 loaded 1.65 Had a jump this weekend with several twists but it did still fly nice. Btw. The LQRS did help me a lot on that one
-
Yes I did get it measured by a BM dealer and we did put extra on the measurements because I heard some of the suits were too tight and I wanted to be able to put a sweatshirt etc under the suit. I jumped it today and see now that i must send it back to get it done. Sad because I live in Denmark and will not see my baby for a coupel of weeks then
-
Didn't measure with gloves on but put on an little extra. I think I will be wearing some short kind of gloves then
-
Just received my S3 from Birdman it fits very nice except from the wrists they are very tight I can hardly put a pair of gloves under it.And when i do the zippers are very difficult to close. Is it supposed to be like that I think better performance etc.?

Supergeil replied to SkydiveNFlorida's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
