If you know your average freefall rate in mph you can divide that by .6818 and get feet per second. Which you then divide by the height you were wondering about. I.E I was tracked at 140 mph which equals 205 fps. So if I exited at 14,000 and pulled at 5000 that left me with 9000 feet of freefall time. When divided by 205 I had a estimated freefall time of 44 seconds. I am not sure if that is what you were asking but I have been waiting to get this theory outta me and see if everyone thinks that is right. I know you don't exit at full speed but I don't know of a way to figure the time it takes to speed up so I say this is a estimate.

I went to the site and got an altimeter wrist watch! I am so easy.

So does that mean it is ok to get teh numbers back up fhr the KKK?>

http://www.weathersavvy.com/Lightning.html Warning: Just because the lightning has struck 5 or more miles from you, or even if you can't hear the thunder, does not mean it is safe to be outside during a lightning storm. In fact, an electrical charge could be building right above you, and you wouldn't know it until it was too late. Also, lightning can strike 10 miles from the storm. If you can hear the thunder, be safe and listen from inside your house.

Does the fact that just say 20 lbs pulling on your waist making you arch harder a factor?
-
Like my post stated lightning can strike from 10 miles away. It may be clear where you are at and be lightning in the distance you see.

Ok I did a search to find some info about lightning and skydiving. It returned 30 pages of topics but nothing I could find that answered my questions. There were a few things about plane strikes. Ok I know that lightning can strike from as far as 10 miles away. Has anyone ever been struck in free fall or under canopy?

Will the weight belts and lead weights work that us scuba divers use? You will have to make sure the buckle is fixed better, but I think the good part is the weights can be added easily in 2.5-5 lb increments

I am a firefighter(who employs a woman) and a cop. It should be the same standard all across the board. Just b/c you are a woman does not magically change the fact that that person inside that house weighs 250 lbs, or make that 10 Lb maul or axe swing like a fly swatter. The hurst extrication tool weighs 70 Lbs and you are required to lift it over your shoulders to get a good cut on most car and truck doors. Every man in our department can do it but she cannot. She refuses to cut the grass when it is her turn and usually bribes someone to do it. She has even called her son to come to work and cut the grass. Other than her physical qualities she is great with first aid calls! She is the person I would want working on me if i were hurt, but it still does not change the fact that she cannot do the job like it should be. So far she has been lucky and has not been presented with a situation where she had to rescue a victim or a firefighter, god help both of them if she does. As far as the cop thing women can pretty much do the same job, there is more tools in police work to get around not being a big person such as, subject control spray(pepper), batons, guns, and the most important thing a radio. If you think you are about to get your a$$ wipped by someone draw your weapon on them and call for back up. It only takes 6-12 pounds of force on that trigger to stop a subject that is assaulting you with deadly force.

If my eyes are open I have a gun on me. It is a cop thing.

I do those too. You got to watch out for jello shots made of everclear. I made about 24 of them and had about 20 of them myself and before I knew it I could not walk then I could not focus on anything, and the next day I was told by my friends that I told them all my secrets lol. It will get you drunk real quick and easy

Dear god everclear.

We had I think 3 people do that sunday. Winds were pretty good and they were doing a tracking dive, and landed on the airport property but had to get a van to bring them back.

The only thing I think I can add to this is that the bullet spins at an average of 90,000rpm , I would think after it arcs out and turns towards earth that it would loose that spin. Also after some small bullets such as the .223 it will start to tumble after loosing a certain amount of speed to keep it stabilized. That is the effectiveness of the small .223 is to tumble through a person.

Well I guess I should of said that I use ripcord with spring loaded PC. Instead of throw out hacky and PC. Sorry. But I Agree if I did use a throw out to prevent it.
-
I was told to look over my shoulder, and when you tilt your shoulders to look you move air over your back kicking the PC out of it. Not sure if that question was a quiz or a statement showing that you cannot check a burble, but you CAN check to see if your PC is IN the burble lol

Knowing what I needed to improve upon from jump 1. AFF 2 was alot better and seemed to go a little faster I guess that is b/c there was more to do. I was nervous about turning, but it was a piece of cake. The air(or my body) responded good to turning it was like spinning on a bar stool. I really could not tell if I moved alot during forward motion but I had the correct body position. Here is where the fun started. I pulled on time but the PC burbled, the reserve JM punched at it a couple times and I guess I turned a bit too and got air over it but after about what seemed like forever (no more than 5-6 sec) it opened. Had pilot chute over the leading edge but with the 385 Sq ft(mt-1xx?) canopy it didn't even affect it. The wind was pretty good at about 1000ft, so I had to hold the pattern a few times. Landing is really coming together I see that the canopy will do what I tell it to do. BUTT SLIDE landing lol but it was a first. So on to level 3 I think that 3 is gonna be really cool. Finally get to just hover and do some coa and prcp's without being held on to. Wanting to see how stable and still I can hover. Jm said to work on 3 things: 1.look at the otter when you leave the plane. 2.Pay attention to your legs( I like to curl them up and backslide for some reason) 3. remember every time to check for a burble b/c with the broad ness of my back and shoulders I am more likely to have them. I was passing by this house on the way to work the morning after a home coming game at the local high school. Usually the cheerleaders and football players go out late at night after the game and "roll" each others houses. Usually it consists of just toilet paper but in this yard was maxed out with porata potties a dishwasher a computer a empty cable spool men at work signs and there was a couch on top of the roof! Clearly that had to take some planning to do. The best thign is that after the laughs are over they usually go pick the mess up. The game is to see who gets who the best

Most people don't believe me when I say this but since I was 16. We had what they call a explorer program at my department. It was sort of like the boy scouts but here if you complete all the training that a real firefighter had to do you could start running calls and fighting fires. They covered us with 50k in insurance each. The only thing you could not do is drive until you were 18(now 21). When I did turn 18 I got hired on full time and have been working C shift for 2 1/2 years. So total I would say 6 1/2 years. My dad works at the same department I work at. It was funny I have 5 friends that I graduated school with that were in the program and we all got hired on at the same time. So I have 5 childhood friends and my dad working at the same place. Nothing but a big family. I am a search and rescue diver and a emt as well. Right now i am close to graduating from the police academy to become a reserve deputy. I have come to the conclusion that I am a adrenaline junky! I wouldn't change it for the world!
