  1. It's either Cabo San Lucas or The Ranch. But I think I'm gonna have to go with Cabo. Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.

  6. As you can see, I had my gear stolen. I was at Skydive Aggieland on April 9 when I was relieved of it. I waited to see if I would get lucky and it turn up, but it hasn't. I would appreciate any help that I can get from my fellow skydivers. I would be so appreciative that I am offering a $500 reward for recovery or information leading to the recovery of my gear. Here is a list of what was separated from my possession: Javelin Odyssey Black and Purple w/Silver reserve container and white pinstripes DOM: January 2005 S/N 27756 PD Velocity White w/Blackberry Crossbracing S/N 1842 PD 113-R Yellow DOM: July 2004 S/N 032140 Airtec Cypres-2 DOM: December 2004 S/N 12436 Sky Systems Hurricane black freefly helmet Two Arizona Freeflight stickers on back, crush danger sticker on back left, stress fracture on right audible recess. L&B ProTrack w/over 6,000 jumps logged (not all mine), the last seven from April 9, 2006. Alti II wrist mounted altimeter. Black w/silver wristband and the initials JL engraved on it. 2 pair of FireFly freefly pants. One pair, purple w/gray outside stripes and black inside stripe. The other, Skydive San Marcos staff pants. One pair of Maestro Vans, size 12. Square One logbook w/ jumps logged up to between 2,730 and 2,750. Black gear bag w/purple stripe and white pinstripe across top right hand corner. There is also a partial list in the stolen gear section of this website (sorry if it is cross-posting). It is believed by some of my friends that it was another skydiver that stole all of this from me. If that is the case, then I am very disappointed and saddened. I have also attached a picture of my rig. Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.

  9. Eagle Fight Skydiving in Granbruy (SW of Fort Worth) is about 3 & 1/2 hours away from you. Great people up there and they have an Otter for the time being. I used to live in San Angelo, and I hate to tell you, but you are in a skydiving black hole. Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.

  11. Thanks Keith. Thanks Robert and Bryan for all your help over the years. And thanks Amy, to you and everyone at Skdive AZ, for not only a great event, but for all the fun and info everytime I can make it out. I will see yoy all next time. Jason
  12. Quote***I have to leave early Saturday afternoon/evening for relative work Quote This is a freefly gathering, not belly flying. Forget the relative work and lets have some fun. Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.
  13. Another thing you can do is work on movements through muscle memory exercises. If you do a lot of belly flying, get with a Skydive U coach or other belly flier that you respect. Ask him or her about several things that you can do at home to work on movements for freefall. If you freefly, you can do things like walking around the house. Imagine what attitude you are flying in and concentrate on what muscles are used to say 'fly from one room to the next. For both belly flying and freeflying this will build muscle memory on the ground so that once you get back in the air, you will have your skills honed a little more without spending all that money on jumps. 14. I heard you had a little mishap, everything cool? I think we should get some extra points since John only has one arm. Do we get to sit in the handicapped section of the plane? Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.
  15. Hey John I got the time. I'll be down on Tuesday and have no clue when I'm going home. Maybe never if I can work it out. Let's get some practice in and show them how its done. Later fool. Jason Vivo, non solum existo Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.
  16. But the money doesn't go to the DZ, it goes to the person holding the class. Does your DZ integrate packing into the training program or is it just another charge to the student? Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.
  17. I just finished reading a thread on another forum about packing and packing errors. It brought back to my attention a question that I have had for a while. I have been to several large DZs where packers are employed. And at these DZs there seems to be a lack of knowledge by low time jumpers on how to pack. They rely solely on packers to have their rigs packed. Now I will admit that I learned how to jump at a small DZ where if there was situations where we could not jump we packed, or learned to pack. But the intructors and riggers were the ones doing the instructionals and demonstrations. My question is: Why do students at big DZs not learn to pack until they pay more money to have someone teach them how to pack? Why is it not part of the training in learning how to skydive? 18. I think that I fixed the problem. I took eveything out, tape, battery, and memory stick, reset everything and then reprogrammed all of my settings. Then I put in a fresh tape and battery and eveything seems to be working now. Thanks for all of the help guys. Would have gotten back sooner but it is hard when I don't have a computer at home and have to use one in between classes. Thanks again. Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.
  19. Situation: I jumped my PC9 several times, worked great, and then sent my helmet off to get repainted. I got it back this week-end and made several jumps with the whole setup. When I reviewed my tape it showed that the camera was recording for several seconds, turning off, coming back on, etc, etc, etc. Is there a feature on the camera that would cause it do behave this way? If so, where is it? Menus? On the camera? And could something have happened to the CamEye that could cause this to happen? I did notice that the indicator light on the CamEye would blink sometimes even when the camera was off. Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.

I have almost 200 jumps on a pair of pants made by Firefly and I absolutly love them. I recommend them to anyone looking for a good, durable pair of pants. Tubing, so easy a caveman can do it.
