It's about f%#$ing time. After 46 long and horrible days. . . . .i managed to get laid last night. Thank god. Granted it was just casual sex with a girl who lives on my street of all places, but nonetheless after a long drought no complaints. This does raise question though, who out there is going thru a bad drought, and how long has it been? bigwall

Make sure you check out a kick ass dive bar called the Double Down Saloon. It's very close to the Hard Rock Hotel. Super cool place. A bunch of famous punk bands have played there. Definitely worth checking out for those that get sick of the same old Vegas Strip scene. J.P.

Alright I am planning on making the trip to Idaho in May, taking the course; the whole 9 yards. Can anyone tell what type of set up I will jump for my 1st BASE jumps? Specificly, when I take the course will I be jumping a rig that is packed slider up or down? What about the container and canopy. . . .what type is normally suitable for the beginning BASE jumper whos jumping off of spans like the described above? thanks, J.P. "bigwall"

That post about outsourcing got me to thinking about those bullies over at Walmart. Their constant pursuit of cheaper prices, and their constant bullying of vendors is a major contributor to our manufacturing jobs going overseas. Believe I know. I own a steel company in Los Angeles, and alot of the metal stampers I sell are just scared to death of companies like Walmart, Target, and Home Depot. They are afraid to raise prices to these companies, for fear that they will start buying their products from China and the likes. Thats especially scary in my industry, with the price of steel rapidly increasing. Unfortunately Bush will probably win term again. Hopefully he will realize the impacts of cheap labor from overseas, and do something to curb this unfair trade imbalance. bigwall

Switzerland is great!! I went there about 7 years ago. Unfortunately the snow was not all that good but overall a great experience. I also spent quite a bit of time in Chamonix, skiing and climbing. Equally great!! I would recommend these areas for anyone with interests in alpinist pursuits. Without a doubt, Ouray ranks right up there though.

What's up kids! Just got back to Cali from a 4 day backcountry ski trip to Colorado. I managed to get a few cool pictures of the area we skied called US Basin, in the San Juan mountains near Ouray, Colorado. It was one of the more amazing areas I have ever skied. The avalanche danger was a little sketchy, but we stuck to the lower angle slopes and higher ridglines for most of our ascent. We summited the peak on the right skyline and skied amazing lines from there to the valley floor. Just wanted to remind everyone that there is at least one other great sport out there besides skydiving. I hope the pictures upload ok. Let me know if there are problems. cheers, J.P.

Naw she's one of those rich California types. . . . . .try "my 6 month old Mercedes is so out dated, so my HUSBAND bought me a new Beemer!!" he he.

You know what. . . .you're right. About 6 years ago I went down that road somewhat inadvertently and I felt really bad about the whole thing. better to avoid it all together.

Well this morning she. . . .in a very suttle way, mentioned that her husband is out of town in China for the next 2 weeks. I then spoke to her this afternoon again, and she out right asked me over to her house for dinner and movie. But more importantly, there's always been a certain amount of flirting on her part ever since I've known her. J.P.

Yeah dude, she definitely ain't bad. If she was single. . . .I know where I'd be tonight!! he he. J.P.

Ha ha ha. LMAO. No I'm not going there.

Dude!! I just got hit on by one of my customers who is recently married!!!! She's a few years older than me. . . about 30. But she's only been married a year and a half!! Nice f&%kin morals lady! Makes me wonder WTF is up with people? It wasn't so long ago that this lady would tell me how wonderful her fiancee was and now. . . .it seems like she's having other ideas. I've met the husband several times and he's a really good guy, hence her actions are disturbing. Can someone make sense of this? J.P.

Lara, No problem on the donation, I'm happy to help in any way I can. I've been trying to rally some friends from Perris to the boogie this weekend, hopefully some of them can make it. It was nice meeting "the girls (you of course being included!) Oh and when I get back from Colorado I'll be happy to buy you all a beer!! Hope the reconstruction effort is going well. See you guys in a couple weeks. J.P.

Yep that be me. Don't know why I chose blue and grey, but I sure was pleased with the results when I finally got it from Relative Workshop. . . . . . .and yeah that was me in the parking lot with climbing gear. I actually was leaving from Elsinore that evening to go to Joshua Tree. Anyhow, it was damn nice to meet you guys. . . .hope to do some jumps with you in weeks to come. J.P.

I went to Elsinore yesterday for the first time and I just wanted to let all the Elsinore regulars know that you have a really cool dropzone! I really enjoyed jumping there; it was time well spent. I definitely look forward to jumping there more often. cheers!! J.P.

Spike, You are a person of sound logic. I like what you have to say here, and I have taken it to heart. I haven't been moping around. I am a fanatic ice and rock climber and I have been training very hard and climbing alot. It has helped tremendously. But it's those down times at night when I'm sitting around the house that are tough. I'm dealing though; trying not to dwell. thanks for the words. . . . . .it helps. Big Wall

Have you been thru this lately as well? . . . . Pool, booze, and especially close friends have been my saving grace thus far. I will say that it's funny how something like this can really bring to light those friends of yours that truly care about you. If anything good has come out of this, it's made me alot tighter with certain friends. J.P.

Yeah thanks for the advice April; I've been to the Doc. . . .everything is cool. The truth is that I am normally not one to go out and bang everything. . . . . .okay that's a lie!! ha ha! But I am rather selective and I would prefer to be loyal to a girlfriend. Promiscuity is . . . wasted energy. It would be so much nicer to just meet someone that I click with ya know?

Yeah. True that. And to be honest with you the more time that goes by the more I do realize that this chick has issues. Nevertheless, is it too much to ask to simply speak openly and break up prior to the act of moving on to other sex? It wouldn't have been nearly as bad if she had not been sexin' me and others at the same time. . .
