Not any better up here. http://news.nationalpost.com/2012/10/31/free-speech-at-canadian-universities-abysmal-report-says/

Was that the name of the captain? No Claudine Christian was the deckhand who's body was recovered.

Court OKs warrantless use of hidden surveillance cameras
Andrewwhyte replied to CarpeDiem3's topic in Speakers Corner
C'mon Andrew. They're "above the law", remember? I am pretty sure they are not above the constitution. The problem is someone has to spend the cake to get a case to the top court. -
What a stupid fucking statement. Apple is a multi-national corporation.

Businessweek Hurricane Sandy Cover: 'It's Global Warming, Stupid'

Naw, Jesus did it 'cause of all those illegitimate rape abortions. -
Court OKs warrantless use of hidden surveillance cameras

I agree. I just wish the SCOTUS would get a case regarding the various laws prohibiting recording cops when they are in public. -
100 times a month is what I prefer. Sadly I rarely am at that level of currency. As a bare minimum I would say 50 times a year to be safe and 100 times a year to progress. When you say once every few weeks do you mean a 2 hour trip to the drop zone to make one jump, pack up and get back to your busy life, or do you mean you can come out that often and do 3 or 4 jumps, hang out a bit, make some friends, hear some stories etc.? These 2 scenarios will yield very different results.

From Claudine Christian's Facebook page: Work and Education HMS Bounty HMS Bounty Sailing Crew aboard the Vessel I live, work & Travel the Sea aboard the HMS Tall Ship Bounty. A Sailing Museum traveling from port to port sharing our ship and our history, we are a Replica Ship of the infamous story of "Mutiny on the Bounty" on Pitcairn Island. As a descendant of Fletcher Christian, played in four movies by Errol Flynn, Clark Gable, Marlin Brando & Mel Gibson, I'm sure my ancestor would be proud... However this time, there will be no Mutiny on this Bounty... At least not at the hands of me, a new generation of Christian Family Sailors! This ship has been used in MANY Movies, including the 1962 version of "Mutiny on the Bounty" starring Marlin Brando & the two most recent Pirates of the Carribean movies starring Johnny Depp. She was living the dream. Not everyone gets to do that.

What stupid comment. The overwhelming number of pros around the world wear hand cams at least some of the time whether they like it or not. It is a part of the job, whining video flyers not withstanding.

How good were you as a newbie
Andrewwhyte replied to wmw999's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I was just short of awesome as a student. This advantage had completely disappeared by the time I had 50 jumps. It is something I always tell my students when they struggle. How you do on your first ten or twenty jumps is rarely an indicator of how good you will be in one hundred jumps. -
I think the October surprise has made landfall. Obama's camp are probably calling it a gift from God.

I think it is a case of who it is aimed at rather than the overall damage capacity. The south is used to 'canes and let's face it just isn't as significant in the national (media's) psyche as is New York. It isn't that much different than the difference in coverage when a storm hits Mexico vs the southern US.

Seriously, any diligent vetting team would eliminate anyone who shows the poor judgement inherent in participating in as bombastic a political forum as this one.

Since $200.00/hr seems to be the norm, I would suggest 15-20%. Alternatively the total cost of the experience is closer to $1000.00/hr so $100.00 is only 10%, not extravagant at all. Remember if you can afford the tunnel you probably earn more than the coach.

Republicans and women's issues, especially rape and abortion
Andrewwhyte replied to funjumper101's topic in Speakers Corner
The thing with this one is that it is true. You either accept the omnipotent God or you don't. -
,...and of course no Atheists on either side.

Our manifest deals with that. If they don't my response is usually. "It is a service we sell." I refuse to engage in any further justification.

Training to win a Darwin Award in the future?

Kinda looks like our swoop comp yesterday. -
Times are definitely different. I grew up in gunphobic Canada and I knew where the guns and the ammo (we didn't keep loaded weapons in the house until a bit later) were by the time I was twelve. I was also left alone at times when I was twelve (I believe that is still legal today).

Wow. I wish our competition would adopt those rules.

The way we got out of stagflation in the '70s is the FED stopped printing so much money. This resulted in the recession of '81. As for priced holding steady or rising. There were no prices holding steady in the late '70s. You really don't get it if you think this is an inflationary cycle; stagnant yes, inflationary no.

What we're really looking for is pictures of Nataly wearing one of these outfits.

green light does not mean GO!
Andrewwhyte replied to dreamtoy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The experienced FS skydivers are the ones most likely to wait until they get a good spot for themselves while screwing the people at the front of the plane. Most days the GPS/pilot are better at spotting for the whole load than the cunt at the door. If this is consistantly not true the pilot needs retraining. The GPS on the other hand never makes mistakes. -
Some people are obviously still pissed off about the White House burning incident... Yaaa well we only charred the outside. BESIDES they started it with all those Fenian raids and whatnot.

Actually it was the Europeans who did that.
