    You are probably correct.

Here's the deal: Your cypress probably works just fine and will continue to work for some time. Furthermore when it stops functioning it will probably recognize the problem during its self diagnostic at start up and let you know it is toast (this is the heart of the Vigil argument). This is not a guarantee, but then again it isn't a guarantee when it is in date either. The difference is that if you continue to use it it will break sooner or later and put these probabilities (that the self diagnosis will work) to the test. It's a bit like using a canopy until it blows up; you will probably be just fine under your reserve, but is that really how you want to play the game? The other complication is that the FARs insist that AADs be utilized according to the manufacturer's instructions. You will not be able to get your reserve packed and if you are a rigger (which I am sure you are not because you would know these things if you were) and packing for yourself, you are endangering the career of the pilot when jumping in the US while breaking the FARs.

Not if you bought it 12 years ago you didn't.
  4. What they should do is tell the press that reporting troop movements is not lawfull and shall cease.
  5. I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.
  6. I know how they are apportioned. The process is integral to how electoral college votes are apportioned. If you are arguing that the electoral college system is broken the same argument exists for the concept of electoral districts for congress.
  7. The primary argument for IAD over S/L is that the opening is in sequence and so the stresses are in line with a normal opening. This means that any instability during a dummy pull happens later in the process and any entanglement risk is entirely due to the student's body position. It is a bit more work for the instructor but in my view a far superior system from the point of view of the student.
  8. Why just the presidency? Why not Congress? Add up all the votes for congress and dole out the seats proportionally. That's what they do in Israel and they have nice stable governments don't they?
  9. Sept. 2001 Falwell comes under fire after making the following statement on the Christian television program "The 700 Club": "I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'" http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/05/15/national/main2806425.shtml That's How!
  10. WTF is that picture of? It is part of a scabbard in a paper bag
  11. Destroying things for their scrap value has all the hallmarks of someone looking for a fix.
  12. The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives is not considered a true academic think tank. The begin all studies by placing their conclusions on the bottom line and then proceeding to justify them. Their conclusions inevitably fall into the categories of: 1. The capitalists are bad! 2. The conservative politicians are bad! 3. More social spending on the topic at hand would be good. We also have a "think tank" which begins all studies with the conclusions: 1. The Capitalists are good! 2. The socialist politicians are bad! 3. More social spending on the topic at hand would be a waste. They are called the Fraser Institute.
  13. Aluminium bats were originally used for economic reasons; they don't break. I think it is a good rule just because they change the way you pitch to the batter. If you bust the guy inside he will muscle it over the infielder's head whereas if the bat is wood you usually break the bat and he is out if the ball is fair.
  14. I believe the BPA limit is 15 ST & 10. I have taken first jump students as large as 20 Stone without incident, but that individual was carrying less than 10 lbs of excess weight in my opinion and I warned him that a botched landing would likely mean a break or sprain of some kind. If you really want to skydive you must get yourself into physical condition so that you are only carrying what you have to. If you do that you should then look at going to Spain or the US for your training. Be sure to go to a larger centre that has twin engine aircraft. You would find a Cessna very cramped although not impossible.
  15. Of course not! You didn't really think the English would let a pourrage savage run the show did you?
  16. Zippo has a good point; although there are dozens of CRI/temp combinations available for traditional tubes, not so much down at the Home Depot for compacts.
  17. On Tuesday of this week Patrick Moore wrote an article in the Calgary Harold in which he said, "I now realize nuclear energy is the only non-greenhouse gas-emitting power source that can effectively replace Canada's growing demand for energy." Moore became a corporate shill about ten years ago. Here is his website:http://www.greenspiritstrategies.com/D54.cfm

  19. Yep, Skydive Arizona should be good. Just make sure you avoid anyone with a french accent.
  20. Other than the "defendant's sworn statement," not so much.
  21. POST the pictures already! You don't need to re-assess the arch, you just need to get used to it.
  22. The root of the problem is the fact that one of the two people the sperm donor expected to be responsible for this child was not recognized by the court as being a parent due to the fact they were married neither in law nor in common law. This is yet another problem with refusing to admit the reality of homosexual unions. With the lack of recognition comes the lack of responsibility.
  23. Lawrocket, The law seems to be unambiguously worded (someone in justice needs a talking to about that) but do you not think that the child may have a case in constitutional court if, for example, one parent turns out to be a junkie no account? The child did not consent to the surgical procedure and now is living without the basics while his father lives "up the hill." It seems to me that the child is not treated equally before the law compared to the offspring of a failed marriage solely due to a contract between his parents.
