You could always send mine back to me........
-
Man, that is so awesome. My dog sleeps next to me as well. I couldn't imagine having an awesome dog like that for a short time then having to give her back.

Yeah, but I'm getting it MUCH cheaper at SD Dallas than I can get it at Aggieland. I'd love to go there since it's a lot closer (for now), but there is no way you could price match..... or could you??? I'll do my next level there that weekend if you could do it for the same $$!!!!!

I know........I was there..............not getting to jump..... :(
-
I would, but next weekend is my anniversary, then I have something tying me up in College Station the weekend after. Since I didn't get to jump this weekend, and probably won't the next two, I'm going to go back a level. :( At least it's not snowing here!!!

Too bad I didn't get to use my new little toy this weekend..... :( At least I let someone borrow it and got to play with it a bit. Pretty cool little gadget!

So I head up to Dallas to try to finish out AFF. (I live in Austin but get a killer deal by going up there - 3+ hr drive). So I get there the night before. Trusty old weather man says that Saturday was supposed to be shitty, Sunday was mostly sunny. I am planning on leaving Saturday night to jump all day Sunday. Well the front rolled in as predicted but never left. We didn't get to jump Sunday (up until 3:30) and was tired of waiting, so I decided to go ahead and just call it a weekend. The clouds seemed like they were never going to go away. I get about 15 miles away and look back. I swear to God, someone was waiting for me to leave. As soon as I turn around and get back, a plane was taking off. I tried to get my card back in, but it was going to be close. Well, to sum it up, had I never left, I would have been on the next load, but I lost it. That was the last one as well. All the driving and waiting for nothing. Bad weather sucks. :(

well doesn't that just suck..........

In my growing intrest in this hobby, I am learning new things every day. I heard about balloon jumping not too long ago and thought that would be cool as hell. Is there a certain license holding you have to have to do this? I should be done with AFF after this weekend, and A license in hand in a month. Would be pretty kick ass to jump from a completely still object at 5k or so. :)

Yes, buyer is always the one to pay shipping. You can either set a fixed shipping amount which is what most people do to avoid the hassle of weight, contacting the buyer, etc.

I put up a WTB add in the classifieds looking for an Altimaster Neptune last week. Arlo shot me an email and said she had one in stock that was the color I wanted (not to mention a nice price). I mailed her a MO for it last Friday. She got the MO in the mail on Tuesday. I asked her when it should be here, she said that I paid for ground shipping, so no telling. I told her that I was going to be jumping this weekend and asked if there was anything I could do to make it get here by today. She took it upon herself to pay for 2nd day air shipping to ensure it would be here by today. I just got back from lunch and there it was on my desk. That is customer service!!! I will be going back to TSO-D for anything else I need. Thanks again!!!!

Yes, but if you start something out as just $1 with no reserve and you only pay $0.50 to list it, ebay will come back at you when the auction ends if it is over $20 or so. Case in point - I sold something a few weeks ago, started bidding at $1 with no reserve. The item sold for $170 (thereabouts) and I got hit with another fee of $3.45 - a small percentage of the final price. Buy it now option is only like $0.50 more, but was worth it since I only expected to get $70 for my item anyways. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2426986732&category=33690 Note that in the title I put a few keywords SBF 289 and 302 - that is a common search that people use to find parts that will cover their vehicle or anything related to it.

As a seller/buyer, I totally agree. The effort you put into selling it gives it a higher quality, so pics are a big help. And when in doubt, start the bidding price low--you can always choose to put in a reserve price so that if the reserve isn't met, you aren't obligated to give the item away... I am a firm believer in "Buy it now" as well. I just sold something for $80 this morning that I didn't even expect to get that high. Again, PICS ARE EVERYTHING. I won't buy unless there is a picture either. Now I am going to quit posting for a bit to play with the Neptune I just got from Arlo. :)

Look around on ebay for cars that are the like and see what they are going for. You can find some good catch phrases from other auctions. I used to be HEAVILY into Mustangs and would always search the year span for what I wanted (87-93). Put in some keywords for what you think people may be looking for. Once you get it up on ebay, check the bidders' feedback for negative incase of deadbeat bidders. Be as breif as you can while putting up the title and pack as many keywords as you can into it for search reasons. ALWAYS use a gallery photo, that catches more views than you can imagine. PICS PICS PICS PICS PICS!!!! Let me know if you need any help.

You could also always try some Mad Dog 20/20. I hear they have a lot of new flavors nowadays.......

I went to the Shorline Grill with some clients of mine a while back and I ordered beer with my high dollar fish because all of my clients were hickish!! I was expecting to get a nice bottle of wine and they were all "Bud Light", so I had to get some Shiner Bock ;)

Take it from me, I am one Jewish mf'er. There are deals out there, you just gotta find 'em.

Just ask him. Most people who are really into wines can tell you quite a bit and everybody has to learn at some point. The lighter wines are the chardonnay, reisling, etc. The merlot is a very dark wine that is rather a bit more tart. Most people who do not drink a lot of wines don't care of the merlot, cabernet sauvingion (sp?) or the likes.

Is that where they went up in a hot air balloon and had to unwrap this leather thing from the birds head, then a guy jumped and the bird followed? I think I've seen that one before...
