Well, not 16-18 so much as turning 22 in just under two weeks, but I'm in college. Basically, in college it's easier for me to jump than when I'm not. Here's the deal. While classes are going on, I have free time. Plus, I can work on campus whatever hours [school jobs run 24/7 a lot] and there are other people jonesing for jump that I can bum rides from. When class is out, like this past summer, I worked a job or two, plus an internship and being a TA. This summer, I made precisely zero jumps. It's OK everybody, catch your breath, I've made a few lately, school is in. So, in college it's not so bad. Just how would you "distance yourself and deny them the means?" What if they were in their home, building weapons they had TOLD YOU they were going to use against you? What would you do then? I agree with a bunch of what you've got to say, but I have to ask some looming questions. Like I said earlier, just what would you do. Don't use some generality. What would you do? Would you close the book to deny them access? I LOVE that response!!! You have one person lie on their back, with their legs hangin out the door. [stay forward in the door, otherwise it can HURT] The other jumper basically squats on the first person's face. Each one grabs the other's feet/ankles and they roll forward out the door. It makes for sweet shot if you have someone from the next group video the exit. Cool to have a third person freefly some video for you, too. But then again, I'm a bit of a freeflier at heart, so more tape is better. Period. oh, and i have about fifteen shirts. Favorite one is not even a jumping shirt at all. Great for wearing around after the beer light's on, though. It's a gray t shirt with black collar and cuffs, and across the chest it reads Trust me. I do this all the time. I get the best looks. I've never really bounced, but more than once, I was falling, kinda went "aw crap," then hit. It kinda felt like being hit by a linebacker. Hurt a bunch. Then I stood up, looked at the canopy I deployed [low, obviously], and it was all still folded up and looked like if i s-folded it i could put it right back in the bag. Then the beer gave up and the liqour took over my head, and I don't remember any more dreams that night.
