Then the Syrian government officials and military better get all the Skittles they can. Thus proving innocence. Still - there are other factors in that. In Syria, as much as I THINK that Syria did it I am still not "convinced." And I think that convincing evidence should be there when performing an act of war. Forgive my droll legalese: So you think there's probable cause that Syrian govt actors did it, but the accusers must still prove their case beyond that to warrant sanctions for the specific offense of using chemical weapons in the most recent incident. That's pretty much where I'm at, too. Next: what standard of proof would work for you here? "Preponderance" (at least 51%) as in a civil case? "Clear and convincing" evidence (more than preponderance, less than beyond reasonable doubt), as in many administrative cases? "Beyond a reasonable doubt", as in criminal cases? Last I checked, the hurdle that must be cleared before going to war is laid out in Article 1, Section 8, US Constitution. Take it to congress and put forth your case for acts of war against another country that's not attacking us. Let them decide how much is needed. You know, like a constitutional scholar would suggest. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

How would you react if people suggested reading the amendments you like in the same way that you read the one(s) you don't? "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." 1 What is unreasonable? Why do you love crime? Help us make the world a better place. I don't think the stop n frisks aren't unreasonable, so no 4A violation. What? 2 Shall not be violated, well that sounds like shall not be infringed, but really we can violate/infringe all we want. "It's not unlimited." 3 We're not issuing using, or needing warrants, so PC, oaths, and specific targets of searches aren't really relevant here. Would you like that interpretation of the fourth? Me either. It also ignores SCOTUS precedent (just like your 2A views). So stop pushing this sort of interpretation on the second. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

War Against Whites...Think it isnt real?

You're reminding me off all kinds of sayings that've become nothing but platitudes. - the law was designed as a shield, not a sword - it's the worst system in the world, except for all the others Etc, etc witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

I'd guess it depends on what you can prove was said before signing and who can afford more and better attorneys. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

I think his point is that you're not going to see people freaking out calling for hate crimes and racially motivated rallies (except to mock the GZ TM response by race baiters) or POTUS making comments or identifying with anyone involved. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Do you have a source for that? Last time I checked (about two minutes ago) it was illegal in West Virginia. Note, the state is called West Virginia. If you say western Virginia, someone might think you were talking about the western part if the state of Virginia. Don't worry, I know I've screwed up plenty of foreign names. It happens. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

And what, exactly, constitutes "propagandizing denial of traditional family values"? It seems having your nails painted in rainbows would count. It seems to same sex partners walking down the street would count. Putin is just out to make gays the new Jews in Russia. Every fascist-totalitarian-dictator-etc needs a boogeyman and scapegoat. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

You jealously defend the 2nd Amendment. How about giving the rest of the Constitution similar respect? Aren't you the one always telling me I should accept more limitations on constitutional rights? Either way, what are you talking about here? I'm talking about resource allocation. Shouldn't police resources go to high crime areas? Or would you rather police do nothing in those neighborhoods and get accused of not caring about the residents? nb. Terry stops and Terry frisks (two separate things) are supported by the Supreme Court. You know, a little 1968 case called Terry v Ohio. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Shouldn't agencies focus their officers' efforts in high crime areas? Isn't that just prudent asset allocation? "Cops on dots" seems a better use of limited resources than ignoring statistics, doesn't it? witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

The Caymans are for chumps. Seychelles. Cyprus. Andorra. Gibraltar. Cook Islands. Anything Caribbean is suspect, with the exception if Nevis, my personal favorite after Belize. The trick is just to avoid the very popular ones, unless you're one of the bank's clients. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

No, he didn't make it up, but it does sound like he was throwing out a buzzword he doesn't really understand. If you want to quiz a shop geek, ask him whether he suggests absolute cowitness or lower third cowitness, and why. If he can answer that without giving "uh, ah, well er um", I'd give his answer serious consideration. He may still just be a shop geek, but at least an informed one. If he can't even do that, he's only good for telling you the list price and suggesting what he's been told to suggest this week. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Well, as seen in federal crime statistics reports, mass murder and crime in general have been going DOWN since the 90's and even earlier. And the number of guns owned in this country have increased significantly. Also, states that have loosened up the requirements to conceal carry have NOT seen increases in crime and and high percentage of them have seen crime go down!! Say it isn't so So, how do you reconcile these FACTS against your opinion? You're wasting your breath. According to him, guns are used in murders, so guns are only good for murder, so guns cause murder. The fact that there are more more guns and less crime, including less murder, over the years has no impact on someone who won't listen. Using logic and statistics to refute his assertion has no effect. He's made up his mind, don't bother him with the facts. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

While I think cutting aid and ties to the military is a bad idea, I think a president who ignores the law when it suits him is worse. The law says no aid to coups. So either push to change the law, or follow it. This "we have made the determination that we don't have to make a determination" is unacceptable. Side note: McCain and a few others are really saying some stupid shit. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Your analogy is broken. Your refusal to honestly discuss the topic is clear. Further interaction appears pointless. My interest in replying is spent. You. Are. Boring. And honestly your sarcasm is so badly executed sometimes it is difficult to know when you're using it and when you're just no making any sense at all. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Just try answering the questions. Why? You don't use logic, refuse to answer my/our questions, constantly change your arguments, and there is nothing anyone can say that will change your mind. That is not a discussion, that is a yelling match. Why bother with someone as boring as you? (see image below) You can hold any opinion you want, but as soon as you say it is superior to another or should be implemented as policy, you have I support it. Simply repeating "they're bad, I don't like them, ban them" is not good enough, and not worth continuing. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

I've for one for you. A friend of mine acquired part of the SOPs for a local sheriffs office. In the traffic stops section of "civilian contacts", they had two interesting rules. (I mention civilian contact because it disgusts me, LEOs are civilians) Anyway, rule 1: no vehicle may be stopped until a deputy runs the tag through their in car laptop (called MCT and MDT interchangeably). Reason: officer safety, so you know if it's stolen or wanted or whatever. Rule 2: no deputy will type on the MCT while driving. Reason: officer safety by reducing likelihood of wrecks. Apparently after being chastised for too much radio traffic for having a stationary coworker run tags prior to stop, an entire shift made zero traffic stops for a week. They were written up for inactivity. While I agree with you that officers should follow all traffic laws they enforce unless running lights and sirens or having a very good incident specific reason, sometimes they just can't win. Blame jack wagon asshat brass writing idiotic rules. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

I had a whole detailed, well thought out post, but it reading the thread before posting, I realized it would be a long-winded version of rhaig's post #9. When you call 911 for LEO response, what you say goes into the 911 incident sheet. That's available to the public as soon as emergency services clear the scene and closes the call. The responders are dispatched by radio, and that is open to anyone with a receiver. The cop isn't giving out any information that anyone who wants it doesn't already have. If she starts giving commentary or details, that's another story. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

The big deal is now they've done it to Obama, so they're racist hate mongering Nazi loving klansmen. It doesn't matter that they do it to everybody, regardless of party or race, this is clearly racist, so the clown should be banned from ever making money ever again. Racism. Racist. If Russia wants to keep acting like Russia, that's up to them. I don't care, I don't live there and don't travel there. But doesn't the IOC have the responsibility to choose a site that isn't on the "don't go here if you want to be treated like a human" list? witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
