Actually, I stopped there on the story because it seemed irrelevant, but they did not do that right away. I had to make a big stink to get them to do it. Basically, I refused to strip my belt and Blues Coat off and they finally had no choice but to lead me to a private room. Then they never made me take anything off. I was pissed. They just patted me down and sent me on my way. Why couldn't they have done that to begin with? FYI - This was back in 91 before the New way of doing things.

Show me where it says "separation between Church and State" in the Constitution. The purpose of the so called "separation between church and state" clause was to prevent the government from forcing church on you and to prevent them from ESTABLISHING a church like the Church of England. Last I checked you were not forced to go to church and you have a right to live without faith. Since the government is not forcing you to go to church the Constitution is working. By your logic a man who practices his faith openly and allows it to influence his decisions would not be allowed to be president and therefore would not be granted the same freedoms as those who do not practice any sort of faith. The words are "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" which means he has a Constitutional right to practice his faith and allow it to guide any decisions he makes. Would you see that freedom taken away? He is doing nothing unconstitutional here.

Um where does it say that they can set it off the second time andget waved throug? You must be reading too much into this. My understanding is that if you go through the second time and it does NOT go off then okay move along nothing to see here. If you do set it off, well extra screening for you. In all the times I have flown I always got a second chance through the gate. I was always forgetting a belt buckle or a key ring. The only time I had a real problem was coming home from the Marines for leave and I was wearing my Dress Blues. I walked through the detector and well duh! my uniform set that thing off like 16 year old boy in a free whorehouse. They told me I had to take off my belt and medals right there and I said, "Are you nuts? You give me the respect due a Marine and take me somewhere private. I will not strip my uniform in public." Only time I ever had a rpoblem where they did not pass me through the detector twice.

Same here. I am working a great job and almost finished with school. We are more stable than we have ever been financially, soon to be even better off, and we got no complaints about anything. God has blessed us. We are greatful and life . . . is good.

We can however see what Bush has done and it certainly has not been to capture Osama. Well using your same logic how do you know Gore would have done a better job with the economy, or education, or health care, or the deficit? It is really a cop out to assume the other guy would have done it better, since you have no clue how he would have performed in office. The other guy never had the opportunity to screw everything up so how do you know he wouldn't? We can see however that because you do not like Bush you think the other guy would have been better. Let's be honest. Anything anyone says here is regurgitated rhetoric based on preconceived notions of what you believe to be right and wrong and prejudices based on those beliefs. We can banter back and forth all day but you have no idea how Gore would have done and if Gore had won we would have no idea how Bush would have done.
