well then...maybe a sabre2 loaded at about 1.4-5 would be better. i load mine at 1.22 and although it recovers relatively quickly (relative compared to a fully elliptical), it has plenty of learning potential in it with lots of safety margin for those inevitable f-ups. just make sure you dial in the length of the steering lines so that you don't have any tail deflection when you use the fronts. believe me, it makes a huge difference when the lines are even one inch too short. i see what you mean and the answer to this question: is no. no matter where you move to in the atmosphere, if you are falling, you are falling toward the center of the earth. therefore, my original circle example still holds true. if you move 10 ft laterally in the air at 10,000 feet, you have moved a smaller distance across the ground. you can calculate these distances by using the diameter of the earth and another diameter that is twice the given altitude of the skydiver plus the diameter of the earth. if i understand your question, you have it backwards. at higher altitudes, you have to travel farther to reach any set radial from the center of the earth. or, the closer you are to the center of the earth, the less you have to travel to do the same thing. the circumference of a circle with a smaller radius, in relation to a circle with a larger radius, is smaller than the larger circle. does that make sense? never packed or flown a mirage but, my odyssey is and has been a great rig. boc is fine in all orientations and it fits comfortably while being snug. don't measure yourself...have someone measure you when the time comes. i know that it airs on fx. at first i thought that this was fox affiliated, and then someone told me that it wasn't so, i don't know. as far as fox being anti-hollywood, they're a tv station that goes for ratings just like the rest of them.
