I know a few people who've gone to baffin, it is pretty well universally enjoyed by those who're bad ass enough to sample her pleasures. Those who have the best time there use the least amount of effort to cross the ice and trudging is not the way to do it . try these http://www.pawprince.com/pawprince/...struct/home.htm

Plates and screws: Leave them in or get them out?
Phillbo replied to MooChooser's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I had a Tibia Nail installed last june, it's held in place with 2 screws at the knee and 2 screws at the ankle. The doc said I can have it removed if it bothers me but since I do not live in a cold climate he does not expect that it will. The surgery to remove the rod is a big deal so I doubt it will ever come out. He can yank the screws in his office if they bug me but so far I have not had any issues with them. I plan to keep my metal in . -

AFF 3... was playing around with riser turns in my holding area when my instructor started yelling "turn towards the LZ" over the radio. I knew I was in the right spot so I ignored him for a minute but he would not stop yellin git over the radio so being the noob I was, I turned toward the LZ and proceeded to fly right over it at about 150'. I held my course into the wind made a nice stand up landing on the tarmac.. I felt like a real idiot as everyone watched me float over their heads During debrief he infomed me that the other student on the load was way off line and landed off and that he was yelling at him to turn, not me. I stopped using the radio after that since my patterns were good.

Since I live right next to West World and had the day off yesterday, I decided to hop on my mountain bike and take a little cruise to check out some of the cars. It really is amazing where you can go if your on a bike wearing a t-shirt with SECURITY in big letters across the back.. I only wish I had a couple hundred g's to put down on a GTO

Cell Numbers Going Public Just a reminder, 20 days from today, cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sale calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS! These telemarketers will eat up your free minutes and end up costing you money in the long run. To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888/382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. PASS THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS. You can register on line at: http://www.donotcall.gov

The weather will not suck this year... Even though I am broken, I may have to run down to meet a few of the crew while everyone is in town.

Full policy and was glad I had it when I had a Tib Nail pounded in to repair my shattered leg. The rod alone was 6K, surgical cost another 42K and the hospital stay and follow up cost was almost 23K.... Doing this sport uninsured is a shame.

I went about 20 jumps with loss or hearing and pain for a day or so after ... A shot of Afrin in the morning before a day of jumping solved it for me .. I guess it helps open up all the passages that allow fluids to flow.
