Hi John, As would I. However, it looks like some of his cohorts are getting a little nervous: the Senate GOP also holds private lunches . . . , giving members another forum for hashing out the direction of the party’s leadership GOP senators weigh 'special' meeting on their leadership after McConnell's freeze - POLITICO Jerry Baumchen

Hi folks, If this isn't a 'Where am I' look, then I don't know what one looks like: McConnell quickly convenes with allies after second public freeze - POLITICO Time to go, Mitch. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Robert, Guliani and the others will, hopefully, one day realize the very serious mistakes that they made getting in bed with Trump. He is like a slow-acting poison. Jerry Baumchen PS) When I say 'hopefully,' I do have my doubts. -
Hi John, While I think he should retire because of this, he will not give up the power. IMO he will hang in there until the very end. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Mark, Just another scam to get the money. Think Franklin Graham. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Deisel, If I have learned only one thing in my 82 yrs on this Earth, it is that you NEVER lose your paperwork. If you cannot keep it in a safe & accessible location, you find someone who can do it for you. IMO your DZ is his own worst enemy. Sorry to be so harsh. Jerry Baumchen PS) And, do not think that even the FAA can keep their paperwork OK. You would be amazed how many times I had to make copies of mine so they could have their files complete.

Hi Ken, No where in the FAR's does it say this. It only says that the rig has to have been I & R'd within the last 180 days. It does not say that the seal must stay intact for the rig to be legal to jump. Jerry Baumchen

Hi folks, Looks like DeSantis is not as popular as he thought: He was forced to step back from the microphone Jacksonville shooting: DeSantis booed at vigil for victims of racist attack - BBC News IMO a well-deserved response. Now, we need some crowds to turn on Trump; how about a 'crowd' of 12? Jerry Baumchen -

Hi Nigel, That aircraft has a terrible record of killing people; not combatants. Since the USMC does not have anything to replace it, they keep using it. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Phil, Ramaswamy is trying to out-Trump Trump. I doubt that it will work. He is probably looking for the V-P nod. Jerry Baumchen -
Hi Ken, During that long ago Bible Study, I asked the pastor if the people who lived in jungles & could never hear about the Christian god would go to Hell because they had never accepted Jesus as their savior. He said that they would. Further reinforcement of my decision. In other words, horse-puckey at its finest. Jerry Baumchen

Hi folks, Looks like some of the GOP have other thoughts: "within the grassroots I would say people are really looking at other candidates". Georgia Republicans begin to look beyond Donald Trump - BBC News As I say, it is going to be interesting; especially if the Anti-Trump folks go out in the open to oppose him. Jerry Baumchen

Hi jakee, I am no expert on religion for sure. However, this comment is directly opposite of what I was taught 60+ yrs ago: Who has led a proper and pious life according to God's standard of righteousness, which is the one you will ultimately be judged by, one without even an once of selfishness, pride, covetousness, hatred, adultery, lies, etc.? It was 1956 & I was taking a Bible Study class with my brother. My brother spent his time in class chatting up the girls, I spent my time 'discussing' religion with the pastor. I specifically remember him telling me that I could live a wild & crazy, sinful, wicked life, but, if I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior prior to my death, I would enter the Kingdom of God. THAT is when I called it quits on the stupidity of it. Different strokes for different folks. Jerry Baumchen

Hi folks, Looks like one of the Mar-A-Lago folks decided he should do what is best for himself: Yuscil Taveras, . . . changed his testimony last month . . . after he changed . . . to a public defender Witness in Trump docs case changed testimony after switching lawyers, special counsel says (nbcnews.com) I fully expect to see more of this as these cases advance forward. Hi Wendy, Like you, I only have my thoughts. One is that this first debate moved no needles; just an exercise in noise. I am hoping, that like Rich, the Silent Majority of the GOP will realize that he is a loser on their ticket and keep him off of the ballots. It will be interesting to watch the primaries as we go forward. Jerry Baumchen -

Hi folks, IMO polls at this stage of the 2024 elections have little value, I did find this article interesting: 1. Most Americans believe Trump should stand trial before the 2024 election 2. About half of the country believes Trump is guilty in the pending prosecutions 3. A conviction in DOJ’s 2020 election case would hurt Trump in the general election 4. There is considerable room for the numbers to get worse for Trump 5. Half of the country believes Trump should go to prison if convicted in DOJ’s Jan. 6 case 6. Trump and the GOP’s ‘weaponization’ defense appears to be having limited traction 7. Trump is the prevailing villain in the story of his indictments Lock Him Up? A New Poll Has Some Bad News for Trump - POLITICO At this time, I still think that Trump will, again, get the nomination by the RNC. I also think that he will, again, lose to Joe Biden. Hi 2, As Andy 9o8 put it above: Um, no. But just the opposite of that is true, so you were close. Jerry Baumchen PS) Could you show us even one instance where state law trumps federal law? Not conjecture, but factual.
