Hi Keith, Re: That doesn't appear to be the case. I can only say that the polls I've seen in the last two days show her beating Trump. Re: My thought process was Biden sounds as if he's determined to run. My thinking is that only the down-ballot people are the ones to stop him. IMO they are very worried that he will take them down with him. Re: Wes Moore wrote a book To the best of my knowledge, I have never read a book written by a politician; too self-serving IMO. What will be the Result of a Trump Win After Jan 20th
JerryBaumchen replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
Hi Joe, Come Nov 5th, you can watch it happen. Jerry Baumchen PS) When you've got an airplane with an engine problem; do you keep flying IT, or do you fix it? -
Hi folks, We have been kicking this around for two weeks, now. So, as of right now, do any of you think Joe Biden can defeat Donald Trump in Nov? Jerry Baumchen PS) I'm very sure you know how I think.

What will be the Result of a Trump Win After Jan 20th

Hi Joe, That is a tough one. I would hope that her advisers would guide her in the right direction. Others????? I would think it might take a white, male; but, who knows. Life is a crap shoot. Jerry Baumchen PS) IMO there a number of Dem politicians that might take a pass & see how it goes in 2028. Of course, that risks Trump's V-P being someone who could carry the torch onward. -
Hi head, Ah, kids these days. :) Jerry Baumchen

Hi folks, You can run, but you cannot hide: Judge dismisses Rudy Giuliani’s bankruptcy (thehill.com) Poor, old Rudy; now, he is going to have to sell everything he owns. How sweet it is. Jerry Baumchen

What will be the Result of a Trump Win After Jan 20th

Hi Joe, I would vote for you if I thought you could stop Trump. As I just mentioned in another thread, I'm not a strong supporter of Harris. But, it does seem as though the country likes her. If she got the top spot & made a good, electable choice for her V-P, I now think that she could stop Trump. Jerry Baumchen -
Hi airdvr, I'm in about the same place. I own two 2015 luxury class vehicles. Unless something disastrous happens, I will never buy another car. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Mark, I'm about a generation older than you. It is interesting how, at this age, so much of our thinking is about just that. C'est la vie, Jerry Baumchen

Hi Joe, Well put. I have been reading that many leaders of European countries are now thinking of another Trump admin & how to deal with it/him. Paul Ryan, Speaker of the House when Trump got elected, bought a book on how to deal with narcissist personalities. He then retired soon after. As I have been saying for years: The average American voter is uninformed & prefers to stay that way. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Keith, IMO as long as Biden is on the ticket, it is a disaster. Last nite I was thinking of a Harris/Moore ticket; might just be a winning combination. I'm not a Harris fan; but, it does look like the country likes her. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Joe, We all know that Trump cannot keep his mouth shut. However, IMO the best thing he can do to help his campaign is to keep quiet. I'm thinking this is what his people are telling now. Hell, Joe Biden is the best thing to happen to the Trump campaign. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Nigel, I was just reading where Hakeen Jeffries met with Biden last nite. It will be a tough battle; but, it can be done. I'm now thinking that if Biden does not step aside, there is a good possibility of a revolt during the DNC convention. One Congress Critter is currently suggesting that Biden resign now. Hi Mark, This! Most Americans do not know that Soc Sec can go away, be changed, etc, with a single swipe of a signature. If I remember, correctly, it is Mitch McConnell who is the strongest proponent of radical changes to SS. As I have said before, if the GOP gets the Senate, there is nothing to stop them. What will be the Result of a Trump Win After Jan 20th
JerryBaumchen replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
Hi Mark, And, I do NOT think we can do it with Biden. The polls are looking worse every day. Also, more & more of the Congress Critters are going to abandon him. They fear for their own offices. IMO it is not too late for a new team on the ticket. Jerry Baumchen Jerry Baumchen -
Hi Mark, That is a fair argument. On the converse, I simply do not believe that Biden can beat Trump. That leaves the only option of replacing him. If you take the debate, the Geo S interview & tonite's presser, he is looking old. I think it is only going to get worse for Biden. As I have posted before; I like Joe Biden, I think he is a decent person. My one & only reason for wanting to replace Joe Biden is to defeat Trump in Nov. As for supporting Biden: I've been sending him $500/month for the last 5 months. No more, it is money wasted. If there is someone else on the ticket, I'll start sending money. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Sky, Both of your posts are nothing new. Trump is not the issue. BIDEN IS. Jerry Baumchen

Hi folks, I just turned on my tv & Joe's presser is on. the first answer I saw him make was this: I would not have picked V-P Trump if I did not think that she could not do this job. Can it get any worse? Jerry Baumchen PS) I would liked to have seen the faces of his staff as he said that.

Hi folks, IMO most of us think that Trump lives in a world of his own. This just supports that conclusion: [ Pelosi ] wouldn’t last five minutes with [ Trump ]. Donald Trump challenges 'cognitive mess' Nancy Pelosi to debate (thehill.com) Nancy and I are the same age; she would mop the floor with him. Jerry Baumchen PS) Pelosi . . . said Trump’s debate challenge “is just the former president’s usual projection of his own insanity.”
-
Hi folks, I once read that Nancy Pelosi's strength lies in her efforts at fund-raising & campaigning for other Democrats. They are very loyal to her. Pelosi is also a pragmatist, with a keen eye on political trends and a killer instinct for winning. Nancy Pelosi moving behind the scenes to get Joe Biden to reconsider presidential bid (thehill.com) I can only hope that she will be successful. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Joe, I am of somewhat the same thinking. I have long speculated that if Biden wins, he would resign about mid-term and we would have the first female Pres. Of course, all of that is predicated on Biden winning; which, I doubt will happen. Just a WAG, Jerry Baumchen

Hi folks, Looks like things are only going to get worse for Joe: People wanted to give him the week because they didn’t want to do it while he’s hosting NATO. But post-NATO, a barrage of people are going to come out,” said a Democratic strategist who works closely with House Democrats. “They also want to see how the press conference goes, but it feels like no one is ever going to forget the debate so it doesn’t matter what he does. I don’t think there’s anything he can do to bring people back into the fold. There’s a ‘big, big gulf’ between Biden’s inner circle and some White House, campaign aides - POLITICO I also am of the belief that there is nothing he can do to turn around the debate performance. That is what is etched into people's minds. Jerry Baumchen PS) Biden is to be interviewed by Lester Holt/NBCNews on Monday.
-
Hi Joe, With my scenario, no need to replace Biden. Jerry Baumchen PS) IMO, right now, unless someone can get to Joe & convince him, I think he will be the nominee.

Hi Joe, Trump has said he will end the war in Ukraine on Day 1 once he is in office again. IMO there is only one way to end it on 'Day 1.' That would mean the end of Ukraine as we know it. Just send enough guys to take out Mr. Mango & see who wins in Nov. Jerry Baumchen

Hi folks, While I do not always agree with them, this is why I donate to them every year: The ACLU has a blueprint to constrain Trump in a second presidential term - OPB Jerry Baumchen
