  1. Hi Robert, So much for that: 'McConnell vows Senate will hold vote on Ginsburg’s replacement' https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/18/mcconnell-vows-senate-will-hold-vote-on-ginsburgs-replacement-418021 After Ike left office, he said that his biggest mistake as president was appointing Earl Warren. We can only hope that we can 'somewhat' turn Roberts. So far he has been fairly good at not wanting to reverse any previous SCOTUS decisions. Keep hoping, Jerry Baumchen
  2. Hi Rob, I know that. I just do not know how to contact her. Jerry Baumchen
  3. Hi folks, If anyone knows how to contact Judy Celaya, would you have her get in touch with me? jerrybaumchen(at)gmail(dot)com Thanks, Jerry Baumchen
  4. Hi Coreece, Re: 'So far all I have is: - Not the one woman man type - Lacks a sense of humor' That shows how little you know of me. As I would expect; and as it should be. Re: 'Good thing this isn't a dating profile. . .' I never came here for that. Did you? Jerry Baumchen
  5. Hi Bill, But then he would not have his soap box. Oh, the horror. Jerry Baumchen
  6. Hi Robert, Right up there with the snake handlers. When the snake would kill one of them, the rest would just say, 'he just didn't have enough faith.' Jerry Baumchen
  7. Hi Robert, And Sunday morning, all will be forgiven; as if it never happened. It's a Christian thing. Jerry Baumchen
  8. Hi Joe, I think that if he were to say that it was 'actually implemented,' his base would believe him. I mean, who wants facts? Jerry Baumchen
  9. Hi folks ( again ), And some more info: 'This guy has an unshakable base, but he has a pretty low ceiling.' * https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/16/trump-election-battleground-map-412726 Let's hope it stays as is & does not improve for him. YMMV Jerry Baumchen * an unshakable base This is the part that I cannot get a grasp on. Joe Biden was never my first choice; but, much better than our current idiot.
  10. Hi folks, IMO another win for the people: 'Pennsylvania's Supreme Court extended the due date for mail ballots in the November election, a decision that will likely result in more votes being counted in the state' https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/17/pennsylvania-mail-ballot-deadline-extended-417044 Back in the 50's, the basement of my parents' house was a voting location. They were not req'd to have the results in within any 24-hr period. When they got things finished ( usually within ~48-hrs ), they reported the results. I can still remember sitting there watching them count, argue, etc, over the ballots. Jerry Baumchen
  11. Hi Coreece, Why ask a question when you seem to know everything? Jerry Baumchen
  12. Hi Lisa, Wolfriverjoe thinks I should work on the BRA-MARD: 'You're the engineer, I'll leave it up to you.' If I start working on it, how about you, you in? Or, should I say, 'You out?' ( Runs for cover as fast as possible ) Jerry Baumchen
  13. Hi Coreece, Please expand on why you feel this way? I do not. Jerry Baumchen
  14. Hi Robert, It's all about the hormones. And, Mother Nature is not planning on making any changes. Jerry Baumchen
  15. Hi Robert, About 35 yrs ago, a guy I worked with found out one of his 15-yr old daughters was having sex with some guy about 20-21. He tried to get the guy prosecuted. But, the prosecutor told him, 'Nope, not as long as she consented,' which she had. Jerry Baumchen PS) IMO there is a lot of effort in this country to take away the judge's discretion ( people not being satisfied with the sentencing, etc ); so that is why the DA's now make those decisions.
  16. Hi Brent, If you want something done, do it yourself: https://www.nobelpeaceprize.org/ Jerry Baumchen
  17. Hi Brent, NOW, it is a true statement. Jerry Baumchen
  18. Hi Brent, I will never claim to be any Nobel expert. But, I do believe they are usually given for what one does, not for what one does not do. Jerry Baumchen
  19. Hi Brent, Trump has 'bought' so many other things in his life*, I doubt that he can buy a Nobel. IMO those folks are a little smarter than Trump will ever be. Jerry Baumchen * Someone to take his SAT's as one example.
  20. Hi 4470, The Vector & the Infinity are the only two rigs that I know of that use 500d Cordura as standard. However, both will build you a rig in the 1,000d Cordura if requested. Jerry Baumchen PS) IMO the Infinity MARD, when compared to the SkyHook, is a far simpler system; and just, if not more, reliable.
  21. Hi Joe, I'm thinking we really need to include a BRA-MARD system to get those boobies out real fast. Jerry Baumchen
  22. Hi folks, Well, maybe I wasted my money on my Bachelor of Science in engineering: "We've had temperatures explode this summer. ... We want to work with you to really recognize the changing climate and what it means to our forests and actually work together with that science," said Wade Crowfoot, California's secretary for natural resources. "That science is going to be key because if we ignore that science and sort of put our head in the sand and think it's all about vegetation management, we're not going to succeed in protecting Californians." "It'll start getting cooler. You just — you just watch," the president said. "I wish science agreed with you," Crowfoot said. "Well, I don't think science knows, actually," he said. https://www.npr.org/2020/09/14/912799501/i-don-t-think-science-knows-visiting-fires-trump-denies-climate-change And here I thought he knew everything. Jerry Baumchen
  23. Hi folks, Looks like Bill Booth could have made more money selling these. Jerry Baumchen
