Hi folks, Based upon what I have read ( admittedly, not everything ), it seems as though the Court can be 'packed' only by legislation by Congress. it seems to me then that the Congress can also reduce the number of Supremes. Therefore, if Biden wins and the D's get the Senate, I say let's reduce the number of Supremes to seven and toss Kavanaugh & Barrett out on their ears. Voila, a balanced Court. Jerry Baumchen

Hi folks, Since the second debate got cancelled due to Trump's CV-19, Joe Biden decided to do a Town Hall. My local ABC tv affiliate is showing Biden's Town hall at 6 PM ( a 2-hr event ) this evening. No other local channel is showing it. And here is the rub, my local NBC tv affiliate is now showing a Trump Town Hall at 8 PM ( a 1-hr event ). One has to wonder which will be more entertaining. I seriously doubt that either event will change any voters. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Terry, While I cannot speak for him, I do think that it is only because Bill Booth does not want to offer them on his rigs.* His reasoning why is up to him. It has nothing to do with the date of the original TSO-authorization. It would be a Minor Change just like it has been for those other mfrs who now offer chest rings. Hi folks, Maybe this thread should be titled: 'The 2020 Election trump v. Biden, et al' 'The other 1,214 candidates running for president' https://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2020-54334173 I just received my Voter's Pamphlet ( put out by our Sec of State ) and it has Trump, Biden & three others. I do not know the details, but you cannot get on the ballot here in Oregon just because you want to; there is some criteria/benchmark that I am not knowledgeable about. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Robert, I do get really tired of telling people again & again that this is not how it would work. Consider when you vote for Patty Murray or her opponent. King County has no greater power than does Pacific County. Each voter within Washington state has the same 'power' as any other voter. You simply have to abandon all consideration of 'states' when you discuss the elimination of the EC. That seems to be what people cannot get into their heads. As others have mentioned, without the EC, each voter is as powerful as any other voter. And, that is how it should be. Jerry Baumchen
