  1. Hi Joe, Re: 'Do you think knowing that a good case of Covid means the possibililty of a lifetime of ED will make the idiots take it seriously?' No, but if they cannot reproduce; well, that might just be a good thing. Jerry Baumchen
  2. Hi John, From your link: ' Trump said . . . So far we haven’t been able to find the people in Georgia willing to do the right thing.' Actually, I think the people of Georgia have and are doing the 'right thing.' It is just that it continues to mean that Trump lost the election. C'est la vie, Jerry Baumchen
  3. Hi Phil, Re: 'I must be inherently heartless.' Nah, it goes back to the old adage: 'A fool and his money are soon parted.' Jerry Baumchen
  4. Hi Joe, Re: 'The truly sad part about this is that election officials take voter fraud pretty seriously.' IMO the really sad part is all of the money that the Trumpers have donated to overturn the election that is going elsewhere. Hmmm, now wonder where that money is going? Jerry Baumchen
  5. Hi Robert, I seem to remember that the one win was in Pennsylvania where they wanted their observers closer to the vote counters. I think the distance went from 10 ft to 6 ft. Jerry Baumchen
  6. Hi folks, Something to remember, Jerry Baumchen
  7. Hi Wendy, Thanks for finding that. Jerry Baumchen PS) My not so perfect memory is at least consistent.
  8. Hi Will, Re: 'There’s something well suss between those two.' It damn sure isn't their IQ's. I doubt that between the two of them that they could get to 100. Jerry Baumchen
  9. Hi folks, I am sure Trump will say, once again, 'I am not responsible.' 'state of Georgia election official has said President Donald Trump will bear responsibility for any violence that results from unsubstantiated election fraud claims he has stoked.' Georgia official: Trump inciting election violence - BBC News What a great leader he has been; NOT. Jerry Baumchen
  10. Hi Joe, Re: 'Nixon being pardoned for 'any and all crimes'.' Well, by now we all know that my memory is not perfect ( Hey, I said it here first about not being perfect ). I seem to remember that Nixon was pardoned for 'any and all crimes during his presidency and in the future' or something similar. Thoughts, folks. Jerry Baumchen PS) I actually like it when I get corrected on here; I damn sure can remember it then.
  11. Hi Nic, I am hopeful that he will use them as we proceed along. I would like to see Pete Buttigieg in as Sec of Defense. Jerry Baumchen
  12. Hi Phil, Re: 'receiving a pre-emptive pardon' I am curious about a pardon for someone who has not been found guilty of anything. IMO a pardon is for a specific crime in which the person has been found guilty. Thoughts, folks? Jerry Baumchen
  13. Hi Joe, I gotta agree. Jerry Baumchen
  14. Hi Joe, I have only one friend who is a Trump supporter. He has about $500,000 in the stock market. His whole thing is that Trump got the market to rise => he's happy. Jerry Baumchen
  15. Hi feuergnom, Well, hold on; he will win it again on Dec 14th. And, then of course there is Jan 20th. Lots of winning ahead for Joe Biden. Not so much for Trump. Jerry Baumchen
  16. Hi Tim, Uh, Trump inherited his. Jerry Baumchen
  17. Hi Joe, Aw crap, more dead brain cells. At least in another thread I said that no one here is perfect. Jerry Baumchen PS) Thanks for the correction. Along with my JFK quote being wrong & now this, I think I need a drink. It is 5 o'clock somewhere, isn't it? PPS) I 'think' ( got to put that disclaimer in now ) it was a few years later that Guardian Parachute ( before FXC bought it ) who made a rig with a Union Jack on it. Good grief, at least I hope they did.
  18. Hi Rob, Back in the mid-60's there was a CrossBow rig built with something looking like the Union Jack on it. I seem to remember it being used to ski off of a mountain in a James Bond film. Jerry Baumchen
  19. Hi Joe, FIFY: 'No, fraud equals illegitimate.' Your typo caused me to read that about 4 times before I realized what I think you wanted to say. Jerry Baumchen
  20. Hi Mark, Re: 'I had a colleague whose father was paralyzed by an illegal driving a stolen pickup truck.' And I had a high school classmate who was rear-ended by a young, white female. He became a somewhat walking paraplegic for the rest of his life. Should we ban all young, white females from driving? Jerry Baumchen
  21. Hi Bill, I experienced something similar in Japan in 1977. I went into the loo and there were both men & women there. Took me back for a moment; then I just went into an empty stall and did my thing, all in private. I would not have a problem with a similar situation in the US today. Jerry Baumchen PS) As to Loving vs Virginia; in the Spring of 1960 I took a bus from San Antonio, TX to Montgomery, AL ( I was in the military ). We stopped somewhere in Mississippi to eat. I walked into the cafe & saw a white line going right down the middle of the cafe. I knew then that I was in the south. It was my first truly OMG moment. I will never forget it. Jerry Baumchen
  22. Hi Bill, One of your best posts ever. And I could not agree more. Jerry Baumchen
  23. Hi Mark, Re: 'mobbed by her own colleagues for daring to stray from nutjob orthodoxy' Would you say the same thing about Geo. Will & his columns about Trump of the last few years? IMO Geo. Will is one of the most committed conservatives in the world. Jerry Baumchen
  24. Hi Nigel, Re: 'Happy to be wrong!' No one on here is perfect. Welcome to the club. Jerry Baumchen
  25. Hi Ken, Re: Pardoning Nixon was sold as for the "good of America" Ford also said that he did it because he thought that Nixon was suicidal; and he did it to prevent that possibility. Personally, I agreed with Ford; and still do. Jerry Baumchen
