  1. Hi folks, I think that this horse had died. It is not possible to inflict any additional punishment. Let's move on. Jerry Baumchen
  2. Hi folks, Probably no serial numbers on these either: Raid of Salem home turns up what feds suspect is largest ghost gun manufacturing operation found in state - oregonlive.com Re: running a “massive” ghost gun operation from the basement of his mother’s house I'm sure that she had no idea. Jerry Baumchen
  3. Hi Phil, Re: stated Ted Cruz 'nough said. Jerry Baumchen
  4. Hi Chuck, Re: the verb, not the title Yet, you used it not as a verb but as a noun. Re: If you think he's foolish, so be it. I would prefer that you not put words into my mouth. Re: You guys can pee on the parade all you want. I am definitely not trying to do that. Andy & Luke are very gifted skydivers with an insane amount of experience. I think that if anyone can pull this off, these two can. I wish them well. I just do not like the term 'engineer' being tossed around willy nilly. Some of us worked very hard for that title. Jerry Baumchen
  5. Hi Keith, I think a lot of us ( including me ) are wasting a lot of time discussing this. 'I want my hour back.' Jerry Baumchen
  6. Hi Chuck, Re: Luke is a meticulous engineer What engineering specialty did he get his degree in? Jerry Baumchen
  7. Hi Joe, Possibly your best post to date. And, I agree 100%. Jerry Baumchen
  8. Hi Bill, Make that used the uneducated. He only loves himself. Jerry Baumchen
  9. Hi Ken, I would guess that you have not had an elderly mother that called you twice a year to come over & reset all of her clocks. Jerry Baumchen
  10. Hi Rob, To the best of my rememberance, The Altitude Shop, with their Top Secret, was the first rig to use Cordura material. It was 1000d mat'l. I don't remember the sequence of who came along, using Cordura, after that. Jerry Baumchen
  11. Hi Bill, Since we do not know the details, such is life. Most problems during driving IMO have more to do with anger management than the rules of the road. 1. If someone is signaling that they want into my lane, I slow down & let them in. 2. If they want to get 'bully' and just shoot into my lane, I let it pass. 3. I never stand on my horn for anything. A quick 'blip' usually works just fine. 4. Never give another driver/passenger the finger. If someone 'bullies' into my lane, just how much does that slow me down for where I want to go? Maybe 30 seconds at the most. 30 seconds out of my life is not worth some anger-driven road rage event. OK, I'll get down off of my soap box now, Jerry Baumchen
  12. Hi John, Since, I think, you are retired, as I am, I think the The entire concept is unimportant. I only set an alarm clock when I have something important in the morning; such as, a medical app't that I could not get later in the day. I'm more of a night-person than a morning-person. Pick one ( I prefer DST ) and stick with it. After all, it is only numbers on some device. Jerry Baumchen
  13. Hi Bill, Here, in Oregon, you can't. It must be locked up. How fast does one need to get their gun & have it ready to go? How long does it take someone to break into a house? Jerry Baumchen
  14. Hi Phil, With Rush in that cartoon, it reminded me of Weekend at Bernie's. Jerry Baumchen
  15. Hi Olof, IMO a very good film: The Ghost Writer (film) - Wikipedia Jerry Baumchen
  16. Hi folks, For your viewing pleasure: Putin's Road to War | Watch S2022 E18 | FRONTLINE | PBS | Official Site Putin's Way | Watch S2015 E5 | FRONTLINE | PBS | Official Site Jerry Baumchen
  17. Hi Don, I always read any link that I post. I just wanted to put somewhat of a happy face on what might be a major problem for her. Jerry Baumchen
  18. Hi slug, Looks like they had some mercy for her: Russian state TV employee fined for ‘they’re lying to you’ sign protest – POLITICO Jerry Baumchen
  19. Hi Tri, And, a lot of people in this country thought even less of Harry Truman when he took the oath as POTUS. He rose to the occasion and I am sure she would, if req'd. Jerry Baumchen
  20. Hi Rob, To follow on dudeman17's comments; IMO it is not so much the possibility of fabric tearing as it is the potential to truly re-arrange the packing of the canopy as the bag comes off. This also could be catastrophic. Jerry Baumchen
  21. Hi Ken, Interesting tidbit from your 2nd link: Both host country and the US would then need to approve the use of the weapons, which would be launched on the former’s (non-US) airplanes. Jerry Baumchen
  22. Hi Bill, Re: (Does that ring any bells?) Reminds me of what was coming out of our involvement in Vietnam; until Walter Cronkite reported differently. Jerry Baumchen
  23. Hi Phill, Make that 77 yrs. Remember, at the end of the war in Europe, Gen Patton wanted to push the USSR back to their pre-wars borders. The western allies were tired of war. And, of course, the agreements that came out of the Yalta Conference; those 'agreements' that everyone signed. Jerry Baumchen
  24. Hi Rob, Here is a fabric that I have used in the past: Uncoated Oxford Fabric | Solarmax Fabric | Seattle Fabrics It is an uncoated 200d fabric that IMO would make a very nice free bag. Jerry Baumchen PS) I would expect that with some time searching the internet, it could be found for much less if buying in large quantities.
  25. Hi Jakee, Re: immediate victory I never said that. From my Post #721: I would prefer that you not try to put words in my mouth. Jerry Baumchen
