This has been his position all along. Wendy may take objection but in my opinion it was time to make him say the icky part out loud and give up the claim of being a moderate. If you would take away agency from another human being based on non-scientific, religion based beliefs, you are not a moderate, you are a part of the far right. If that's who you are so be it, just don't pretend otherwise.

As has been endlessly observed, how will that work? Not just for you but for everyone? What is the definition of imminent danger? So rape isn't a reason if the poor girl is too daft to know what happened? Sorry boss, I'm not buying what you are selling.
-
And you'll recall my response: "Yes, it would. But the position is based on logic, science, common sense, and a belief in self determination. Being pro-abortion keeps no woman from not having the procedure. It does not make abortion mandatory; the anti-abortion position can make no similar claim." Sorry man but the bottom line is that you are reducing a woman's agency over her body and her life with your position. Just admit it out loud rather than doing the dance.

Please tell us you aren't suggesting the medical decision is being made for the "unborn".
-
That's one interpretation.

Yessir, that's it for sure. No corporate price gouging, fewer chips in the bag etc. What's really crazy is how the Democrats deep state, deep fake, deep shit money party is raising prices worldwide. Sumbitch.

If the answer was in the video, I don't watch those generally. I don't fault you for not wanting to say the icky part out loud which is that you would willingly sacrifice a women's agency in the name of a religious belief. Nothing moderate about that.
-
Could you answer the question? Sure. You are consistent in your opinions and, consequently, not a LINO.
-
I don’t think you’ve answered the question. Simple: given there won’t ever be a perfect solution on which side would you err?
-
What, you sign off with it once and now are sensitive about it? Well, no offense, but it seems true to me although you can change my mind by answering post #468 in the Abortion Commentary thread.

Good job of jumping on a superb opportunity to MINOize an important and poignant treatment of a serious problem in America.

The Continent’s Consensus on Climate?……Crumbling
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
They just can not avoid thinking about it because their interest isn't moral it's prurient. Often it's as simple as anger over others doing openly what they either secretly desire or merely have very natural curiosities or occasional wonderings. Like reformed smokers they incessantly proselytize against the behaviors as a way to keep the ideas, and pictures, fresh in mind. By claiming their interest is faith based they can avoid uncomfortable questions about their strange concerns. Of course, if the urges become uncontrollable there are always a spare set or two of vestments to don for additional camouflage. -
The Continent’s Consensus on Climate?……Crumbling

As are the belief systems that are the root cause. -
And, as ever, you missed the point entirely. Protecting a nice lady from being persecuted for wearing a hijab isn't wrong just because 12 morons are going to beat your ass for your effort.

Piece by piece seems like the most economical. Please don’t forget that the world is no longer a multiplicity of political arrangements as per your definition. Now Mrs. Weber’s young son Joseph gets to call the shots and decide the winners and losers. I’ll do my best and try to keep you in mind. Thank you for your support.

You didn't get the point. To be clear, as I've posted here, I think the whole rush to save the world from CO2 is doomed precisely because of China, India, Brazil, Republicans, and on and on and on. If it could be done it's certainly worth the expense but I am not holding my breath or my fun.

If I was Emperor of the planet and that was my task then I would shut that shit down with my Emperor powers. I'd be rounding up assholes like they rounded up cattle on Rawhide. I'd leave Switzerland to find a place to put them all as penance for not doing jack shit to save the world and, worse, protecting the Catholic Pope in party suit uniforms. Wanna ask what I'd do if you also charged me with achieving net zero?
-
No shit, Sherlock. That’s the problem not the potential or viability of renewables. By that logic why fight crime at home when Haiti is so ridden with theft, drugs, and murder?

Um, have you taken a look at who lives where Brent lives?

And I might have had you not wisened the subject to the game. But at least you got to post one more time. -

Yes. -
And in +\- 4.5 Billion years they’ll be right and there is nothing you can do about it.

A 13000 year spread? At any point during that period were there variations that might have made the trend confusing for some observers?
