Now I have an owie, and maybe a bruise, too.

Have you read the documents for which Kallend, Phil and I have posted links? If you truly are trying to understand the answer must be yes. If not the answer must be no. Education is the first step towards understanding. No one here has harshed you for what must be obvious are opinions with which we strongly disagree. And we are not just saying so we are taking the time to show with facts why.

That is what is called moving the goal posts. If you are serious take 15 minutes and read his remarks on the withdrawal in full. Remarks by President Biden on the End o...e War in Afghanistan _ The White House.pdf

Certainly the better camera is a great thing but I mostly use it for a phone and texts and stuff, not selfies. I have an iPhone so young people will identify with me and think I’m cool.

Please show me where President Biden claimed a single dead serviceman as a success. Good luck doing that. On the other hand Trump characterized our WWII war dead as losers and wouldn't visit the cemetery because not mussing his hair do was more important.

The real tragedy, at the moment, is the amount of airtime this incessantly repeated talking point gets. We all get it and we've all chewed every last bit off that bone again and again. It's going to be voting for one or the other or abdicating the most solemn responsibility a citizen has in any democracy which is to vote. Truly we have too long known all we need to know about the difference between the candidates. It is what it is: how will you act?
-
I will, and peace to you.

Agreed. However he won't do it the way it needs to be done if he does it at all. For example he would need to get dirty and make a big joke of it all and by extension Trump. Saying on live TV something like, "Oh, Trump can't shut up or put up. You know, like in court, as everyone knows. He'll come up with some excuse like another kids graduation or no fresh diapers. Whatever, I'll be there."

The Continent’s Consensus on Climate?……Crumbling
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
Not you Professor, I was referring, clumsily, to those who hang on to being republican and want understanding in the face of today's reality. And no apology necessary, I actually woorshipp how you spell. -
The Continent’s Consensus on Climate?……Crumbling
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
This. Simply put it falls short of even slightly helpful to waste time explaining why you aren't like the rest of the assholes when you should be leaving the group behind. Republicanism isn't about economic policy anymore, it's about social engineering and religion. BTW, you misspelled abscess. -
Correct me if I'm wrong (this is a one time use offer) but didn't Mr. BIGUN belong to an organization whose sole purpose was to create victims not be one?

Thank you brave sir for your honesty. I'm certain we have a few Trump voters here but little ownership of their intentions. Can we talk a bit about the basis of your support, please? I'm thinking one issue at a time to keep confusing overlap at a minimum. For example, your claim that Memorial day is a fitting time to observe Biden's incompetence and then your laying of the Afghanistan withdrawal at his feet. Were you aware that it was Donald Trump who negotiated the withdrawal? (.pdf link of the agreement below) Interestingly, the date Trump chose for starting the process of diplomatic recognition was May, 29 2020. (With the start of intra-Afghan negotiations, the United States will start diplomatic engagement with other members of the United Nations Security Council and Afghanistan to remove members of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan which is not recognized by the United States as a state and is known as the Taliban from the sanctions list with the aim of achieving this objective by May 29, 2020, which corresponds to Shawwal 6, 1441 on the Hijri Lunar calendar and Jawza 9, 1399 on the Hijri Solar calendar.) So it was a Trump withdrawal not a Biden military failure. Yes, Biden wanted to end the war but in fact he was bound by Trumps agreement and simply kicked the can down the road until August 31 to get more Americans out. So in light of these facts, do you still believe more of the blame should be laid on Biden? https://www.state.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Agreement-For-Bringing-Peace-to-Afghanistan-02.29.20.pdf

Not coming from BIGUN, he does think before he writes and he writes what he truly believes, in my view. I simply think some of his considered opinions could use some more considering. I'd be thrilled to see him change an opinion but he really does not need to admit error to get credit from me or you.

Goodness, and deary me, there are deluded morons of all races?
-
And KABOOM!! goes the internet.
-
That explains why you were ignorant of the panty ban.
-
In a nutshell you are butt sore because you belong to the party of racists, MAGA nihilists, Christians, misogynists, "pro-life" whatever the fuck that means, double dip morons, etc. etc. etc. You can fill in the blanks even if it hurts some more. If you don't like that, well, tough tit: quit and join the party of lightweights. You don't see yourself in some of those categories and want a kind pass. Sorry.

The Continent’s Consensus on Climate?……Crumbling
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
I'm not just a liberal. I'm also a libtard, snowflake, woke loser, soyboy, cuck, do-gooder, hippie, communist and more. Not an implied stereotype in the lot. -
The Continent’s Consensus on Climate?……Crumbling
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
So if you see 50 fun loving people wearing MAGA you figure the could easily be Amish? The great thing about being stereotyped as a Liberal is you don't need to constantly clarify that: "Oh, no, I'm a nice Liberal not one that wants to teach your sons to pray or your daughters to be mommies." -
The Continent’s Consensus on Climate?……Crumbling
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
Not at all. I'm sure that every Commanche wasn't a heartless murder and I know from experience that every Christian isn't out to impose what they believe on everyone else and every Republican politician isn't MAGA. But I don't have time to inquire with everyone, past and present, so it's a useful expedient to generalize. -
Well, the Lord works in mysterious ways and if you have weekends free there are entire buildings all over your town chock full of experts dressed like double first recipients, or better, happy to explain it all.

The Continent’s Consensus on Climate?……Crumbling
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
I'm not, for one. I think it's easy and somewhat reliable to paint sides with a broad brush. It can also be useful. Someone wearing a MAGA hat just might be cold, embarrassingly bald, or was given it as a present by his wife and hates it. But probably not. The reality, whether you like it or not, is that our sides have members with positions we may not agree with and getting lumped together with them because of so many common positions is a fair way to start being sure we're one of the ones who are friendly to pet and not bite. -
EV's / hybrids as a hedge against natual disasters

Far out! You don't need AI, you're half way out the door already. -
Negative. It definitely means something, just something much less likely.

Easy to say but in reality there’s no place for sarcasm on the internet.
